Cogman had a substantial amount of character development

 

For the first time I found the beginning *in the past* sequence to actually be pretty epic. And I found Merlin actually amusing. His very first line kinda sticks out  

I like what we get just after the title of being shown transformers just battling it out in cities and falling out of the sky.

Hot Rod was awesome and hope we see a lot more of him in the Bee movie.

The ww2 bee and hot rod scene I think is epic.

The final battle. After watching it twice there are quit a few moments I like and it just gives off a lot of charm. Theres kind of a *human soldiers moment* and then once they jump off cybertron it turns into *autobot charge/all autobots vs megatron* moment and that whole scene in that chamber thing was just awesome. I especially liked hot rod freezing Megatron and hound taking full advantage of that xD. The final battle is really what makes this movie for me, sort of like how I feel with DOTM. I don't really care for much of the movie until we hit the final battle.

 

I also liked when Bumblebee had the new voice box installed.   "Oh no. This isn't my damn voice. Day Trader is such a bitch." I nearly died laughing. And I wanted to cuddle with the baby Dinobots too. XD

Not many positives here. But I did like the inclusion of Starscreams head. I like the fact that we might see him back. Starscream was an absolute highlight of the first three films and I honestly believe his absence has hurt the franchise since.

 

The Game of Thrones style opening 10 minutes.

 

Just saw the movie. It's my most favorite live action Transformers movie now. The are many things about it I love, except two things. I can understand why it's getting bad reviews & bad word of mouth. First, it has the same problem as Batman v Superman - another movie I loved. That's the horrible editing. Scenes changed so fast, seems like they cut so many scenes to fit the movie in 148 minutes. Second, the bots do have good amount of screentimes & lines, but only in normal situation. There are so few scene of them in battle & they have shown almost everything in the trailer. Action in this movie is the worst out of 5 movies. Worst action (what make people watch Transformers movies) + confused plots are the causes of horrible word of mouth

continuity boys, you're making triple-digits to write this stuff, at least pretend you care..

I thought there was some nice continuity. Starscream's head, callbacks to Chicago etc. On top of that, they implemented Quintessa, Nemesis Prime, Unicron being Earth. While not a perfect movie by any means, I appreciated that the writers seemed to do their research on TF lore while also putting some interesting spins on it, as well as introducing some brand new characters like Nitro Zeus (who didn't really need to die, but y'know, if that head came off so Starscream's can sit on those shoulders I guess I'm okay with it).

Infernocus was awesome and needs a better toy with his BFG. It took a Prime and a Three Headed Dragon to bring him down. Took out OP Bumblebee and Hot Rod. Hound didn't even bother knew it would be pointless to waste ammo on that. Hey Hound's learning. *Giggle*.
Megatron finally fights more than one Autobot and they all had plot armor. Survives. And gets the better of Optimus even with One Arm. Megatron giving orders along with lamenting over a fallen comrade even a treacherous one.

 

Bumblebee shooting up a bunch of nazis was a fun scene. I'd actually rather his spinoff be about that than being in the 80s

 

Something positive- I got to watch the 5th installment of my favorite childhood toy on the big screen. Love it, hate it, whatever, it's still the 5th time we've got to watch transformers in live action. I loved it, bc it was transformers. It didn't 'ruin my childhood'. It made me proud to be a life long fan. Not many people can still collect the same thing they collected 30 years ago. I'll always love every movie, ever
