I loved Transformers Devastation! One of the coolest games ever!!! Why is there no sequel yet? Will there be any?

I'd love a sequel but Devastation did not sell all that well.

I'd take something like ROTDS at this point, that's how desperate I am for an AAA TF game.
But yeah, this really should be posted in the games section.

As much as I loved Transformers Devastation and enjoyed playing every minute of it, I just don't see a sequel coming anytime soon :cry

Definitely not. Activision was reportedly very disappointed with the sales numbers especially compared to WFC/FOC. If there is one, it won't be a Platinum Game.

It's far from terrible, I enjoy the hell out of TF Devastation and the story makes a lot more sense than that Rise of the Dark Spark trash.

Other Anarchy Reigns, Platinum games don't do MP. Go play FOC remastered, RotDS for Transformers MP. Not every transformer games need boring multiplayer "action".

Games don't need mp all the time, as long as there's a good story, awesome gameplay and gameplay variety

I'd rather a deep single-player experience with replayability than some half-assed multiplayer, even more so since I live in Australia, and any MP game that isn't Call of Duty or Battlefield often has a distinct lack of players/servers in this part of the world. Playing on a ping of 200+ with yanks or Europeans is often a painful experience, with lag up the wazoo.

On topic, Devastation indeed wasn't worth the $50 (AUD) that it was on release. Too short, with only SOME replayability, and that's if you enjoy playing on the harder difficulties (because apparently some people are gluttons for punishment).

I'm still enjoying the game on the PS4, at least.

Platinum isn't know for "AAA" game sales. They make quality games but they are no Naughty Dog, so I don't think Activision should of been too disappointed in sales. Remember, Devastation has very little marketing. It was announced at E3 and then launched that same fall just 3 months later.

The million dollar question is why High Moon moved on. The Cybertron series was and should of been a AAA franchise that brought in sequels every 2 years.
