To be honest, The source material was already bad to start. Transformers wasn't something that anyone can enjoy. No one wants to see robots talking and fighting each other. It's fantastic concept for a toy but not for a movie. So, in order to make a LIVE ACTION movie on it would require some humans to keep it interesting. Have you seen Bionicle? That movie was entirely robots and yet, flop. Some of you said you want a robot-centered movie but that wouldn't be possible. An average people won't find it enjoyable since the only TF strength is the gorgeous CGI, at least that's what 2007 movie has affected people.

Oh, a MTMTE movie would be great except for no one wants to watch it but the fans.

It was also an animated film for a niche property aimed at children and basically a DTV that had a VERY limited theatrical release. And it didn't flop, it had three sequels.

Comparing it to the Bay movies is laughable. They're not even remotely similar.

Well they can still involve humans. The only problem is tat they shouldn't have too many humans. There an be cameos from human time to time, but the movies should only really follow only a few number of humans. That's what makes characters like Spike and Sari so likeable. They're well written but they don't tear away focus from the Transformers.

I need ONE more movie to hopefully tie up this series! Then we would have 2 whole trilogies, even if some of the films aren't great. Plus we can't be left on that cliffhanger! My dream scene to have in this movie is this. Lennox meets up with Epps close to the start of the final fight. He lays out the stakes. Unicron has a huge army made up of constructs he makes himself similar to his TFP iteration, Megatron, buffed by Unicron, and his Decepticons that film, mainly Scourge and Cyclonus. Lennox tells Epps, "were outnumbered and outgunned." Epps would say "that's not entirely true. I have to do something." Epps leaves. The fight starts later and thee Bots are getting their ass handed to them. All of a sudden, Epps comes on the radio and says, "Looks like y'all could use some help." Blasts come from offscreen and destroy lots of enemies that were about to off the core group. The camera goes to Epps walking toward the group, and out of the smoke behind him comes Sideswipe, Dino, Topspin, Roadbuster, and that Excavator Bot from the junkyard, I call him Brawn. (Didn't include Strafe and Scorn with the missing bits, because I have ideas in my TF6 story about where the Dinobots fit in, but they are all in my story) Hound, excited to see his old friends thought dead would say "I thought you all were dead!" Sideswipe would explain he and Dino were in hiding with Epps since the extermination, and the Wreckers in hiding in Cuba. They stayed in touch and decided to be a team B in hiding, that in case the main team fell, Earth would have some defense, and they were all thought dead, and that there was no better disguise than death. Would almost include Jolt and the Twins in this scene, but I think they may have a better chance of being dead. Simmons would be integral to the movie, once again acquiring information for the group. He would have Brains and Wheelie in tow, the 3 providing some good comedy through the film. I think that would fix a lot of plot holes regarding the missing characters. Open to criticism!

They could still have a tribe of humans encounter them.

id like to see bay finish the double-trilogy..he can't go out like this...

but i fear, the 'be spineless & follow the leader syndrome' with the obsession with a 'shared universe' may completely rip apart the filmverse

I did not like this movie at all, but my hope is they will learn their lesson and work on a better plot for the next one and try to make an attempt at salvaging the egregious continuity issues.

I dislike how jaded his direction felt in tlk but I agree he needs to finish the double trilogy and get Shia back. He said he want to go out with a bang and this is a whimper

The problem with that is Bay himself. I totally get that some of you really like these films, but they are continually getting worse in terms of reception by critics and audiences alike and the reason is Bay! I have zero faith that he could pull the series out of a tailspin given another chance. His vision needs to be scrapped. It worked for a while because I think people really do like the concept of Transformers in a summer popcorn flick, but Bay's take just isn't that good.

The more the movie bombs here, the more they just make the next one for Chinese audiences.

The whole transformium plot device in AOE was terrible, glad it disappeared from TLK. Hey look, transformers can turn into tiny cubes that can turn into anything.

The Last Knight will end up close to $1 billion worldwide and will still be a success. After Earth wound up making money despite being one of the all time bombs in America.

Comparing this movie series to Fast and Furious 5-8, the latter has enjoyed much higher critical reception.

It's important to understand why. Better scripts, tighter direction and (very significantly) 2 very good directors for the 567.

I love it to be 1 billion but maybe u likely this time
The thing is bay knows China loves prime and robot scenes but forgot to put either in good amount in tlk. There was no end boss battle with Megatron like with meg, fallen, sentinel and lockdown. Like he just got super jaded or what!?
If he does direct the relative failure of tlk will hopefully energise him to prove something
The movie series doesn't need a reboot esp when they just teased a new instalment. JJ can be s good replacement not that he would do ot

Definitely...not that cars crashing into each other is easy. But tf movie has car crashes, cgi bots as well as world ending end game in each instalment. Bay makes it look easy but it isn't.
Ff movies cost around 200 million to make but each tf movie is also 250 max...

I\'ve read a fair number of critic reviews for TLK and with the exception of one, they all seem to use sophisticated words like garbage, trash, toxic, etc. . And of course they\'ve called it a jumbled mess, poorly stitched together and made for stupid people. Having seen, liked, and easily understood the movie, I\'m now left feeling as though I\'m crazy. I will agree that there\'s a lot to look at, but I felt the story was solid and pretty straight forward.

My point is that I blame the critics. As a franchise moves along with sequels it typically starts to attract less and less. But I think the critics have been quite abusive with their remarks towards this movie. Something I feel has all been very unnecessary.

it's all been downhill since rotf...whether people liked the first film or not it was a massive success on many levels & to the general, non-hardcore is a very well received film...then rotf happened & the series has been trying unsuccessfully to get back to where it was before june 24, 2009

to me, it's simple, keep it small, films 2-5 had wayy too many transformers in it
