Infernocus = Monstructor * Divides into six bots. * Very fierce and "monsterous" (no pun intended). * Similar personality traits. Canopy = Wideload * Shares Long Haul's body type and vehicle form. * Orange. * Both can handle literal tons of junk on them. Daytrader = Wreck-Gar * Their interest and resourcefulness with junk. * Come on, he HAS to be the movieverse version of Wreck-Gar. Any others?
They went from Optimus to Nemesis, something so niche only fans would know, but they couldn't just outright call Daytrader "Wreck-Gar". I literally don't think anyone would have had an issue if they called him that.
Same reason Brawl got called Devastator in Transformers and Wheeljack got called Que in Transformer DotM. Bay has final say on the names and changes them if he's not a fan of the original.
Here's hoping Hasbro takes over and renames him to Wreck-Gar like they did with Wheeljack and Brawl. Daytrader is a horrible name, especially if he's due to show up in future installments. I mean he's bound to show up since he literally has a backpack of McGuffins.
A couple more with two minor characters: "Bulldog" = Kup * Old and haggard. * War veterans. "Excavator Autobot" = Scoop * Both share Scrapper's body type (albeit different vehicle forms). * Yellow. * This may be a bit of stretch.
