They were also the only 3D movie at the time. Zero competition.

Yea, Avatar was a pretty unique situation having a lot to do with the new technology that makes it not very helpful as a comparison point next to anything.

Why producer and Bay would think of King Arthur story will be fit in Transformers story anyway, I meant the previous 2 King Arthur movies are bomb at boxoffice, they should have consider this will influence the result somehow.

This. And from this could also branch out a rebooted GI Joe, Mask, Inhumanoids, etc. Remember the goal is a hasbro cinematic universe of sorts (if done right)

I actually just went to check that, and there are eight movies that have made $500million+ domestically, shit Star Wars: The Force Awakens nearly became the first movie to do a $1billion domestically: what an achievement that would have been.

This movie will kill the franchise, if the international box office doesn't make it profitable. You can't keep on putting out crap and expect people to shell out their money. Wonder Woman is still taking in the money, she is still fierce competition, and when Spider-Man comes out in 2 weeks this movie is done domestically.

It'll make less than the others, but it won't kill the franchise.

Yeah I have to agree here. Once Spider-Man comes out, watch how fast TFs droops. Not to mention I believe a lot of country's showings for TF will just die once War for the Planet of the Apes comes out in July.

If the bumblebee movie under performs, the next director will get a smaller budget. This movie needed to do well, and right now China'a box office is the only thing making it profitable. Love or hate the franchise, this movie isn't helping. Not saying it's Batman and Robin, at least not yet.

There will be no Hasbro cinematic universe. People are losing interest in the current universe for TFs. GI Joe as a franchise bombed and I don't think many even want to give it another chance. And most of the other stuff Hasbro could do live action with, just don't have an appeal to many.

I have to agree with that. I can't see a HCU going ANYWHERE.

NEST could have been the Joes, that would have helped buoy that franchise and tested the waters for an HCU.

I'm not losing interest so you're wrong about that part.

You know what I meant lol. Maybe not individual people. But as a whole, yeah people are losing interest.

And like I and others have been saying. Between movies like Minions 3, Spider man homecoming and War for the Planet of the Apes, interest in a TFs movie that doesn't offer anything great or exciting, is going to die out quick.

People as in what? People who are tired of the Transformers films? People who are still interested? Or both? I've got a learning disability and at times I struggle to tell whether a response means we know what each other means of one may know what they mean but the other doesn't.

In addition to declining ticket sales, if the toy sales decrease dramatically as well Hasbro will have no choice but to reconsider continuing this existing series, because both would likely continue to decline moving forward. And, at the end of the day, Hasbro is trying to sell toys off the films.

You don't know that, you don't speak for me or anyone else who has seen TLK and maybe liked it so you're coming off ignorant.
