With his new design in The Last Knight and since he's getting his own movie next year, it wouldn't be a bad time to discuss his design.

Personally, my favorite design is the one he wears in TLK which includes his new minimalistic battle mask and his new hammer. To me, his head is slightly rounder and larger which I prefer.

On the same topic, what would you like to see his design incorporate or lose in his solo movie releasing next year?

 

To be honest I wasn't really aware that his robot mode in TLK was significantly different to his DOTM one. Either way, I like his 07/ROTF look best, I'm not a huge fan on the weird chest thing present on his DOTM body and I felt his design in TLK, while excellent for Stinger, didn't really suit his character. The fact that he basically had Megatron's fusion cannon was odd too!

 

His design in TLK was back to the DotM look.
And his cannon has always been really powerful. He has quite a few one shot kills in the series.

Think back to DotM, in the scene where they are saved by Wheels and Brains, he is slicing through Decepticons left and right before he even got to Soundwave.

 

I did not like his AOE design either. He was way too busy for me. It looked like they took his DOTM design, cut it up, and tried to glue it all back together. His face looked a little odd too.

 

Nah, I meant that looks a heck of a lot link Megatron's fusion cannon.




There actually a lot more different when I put them next to eachother, but at a glance...

 

Brawl, Soundwave, Stinger, Mohawk and Nitro fell under his mighty cannon!!!

Thanks for the comparison pic! You should add the evasion-mode version too. Personally, I prefer his 07 and ROTF looks. More visible car bits. Really dislike his AOE bot-mode.

 

DOTM is best. TLK is practically the same thing.

 

Tbh, I've never been bothered by any of his designs (biased coz he's my favorite character). I actually like his AOE design and I thought he would carry it over to TLK like Optimus. But going back to his DOTM look was also good too. His wings/doors have returned, and I believe those are what makes Bumblebee's design unique among all the other characters in this film. I just hope Bee will still have a Camaro alt mode for his solo movie next year. He could have the beater Camaro as his alt mode. Not really a fan of the VW bug

 

Tlk is actually very different. Its so different in fact, that I doubt many of the cg model parts are actually reused from Dotm. He's much much thinner now. His wings are a different shape, they're not the whole the entire door this time. That's just one example. It looks like they basically took the Dotm body and changed every piece just a little bit.

personally, i liked his aoe look the best with that crab/megatron cannon & those ninja star/spheres on his back

 

I loved that mode too. I dunno why, but I liked the way his chest looked in that mode a lot more than how it usually looks when the car pieces are slanted. It looked similar to Hot Rod almost.

Oh, yeah, WWII Bumble is pretty cool too.

Kinda wish we could've seen him use the old Datsun as a temporary disguise in DOTM too.

Murderbee trumps all though. Too bad he only exists in my headcanon AU.

TLK Bee has the most design inconsistencies that it bothers me so much. It is extremely noticeable.
