why cant it be topspin though? look at the drastic changes barricade went through for no real explained reason other than maybe he took too much damage in chicago & had to take a new form...maybe topspin barely escaped with his life from cemetery wind & changed his appearance up as a result

That's because he doesn't know..in interviews he referred to Skorponok as Skorponoks(skorponox?) and also called wheelie wheels, and brawl devastator(which is the most forgivable)

I am not mocking Bay but in any interview or commentary I get the sense he doesn't know the names of these characters I don't believe for a second the stuff hasbro said about him becoming a "transformers expert" IMO He likes these films because he makes a shitload of money, he gets to pioneer awesome technology, he gets to blow shit up, and I think he truly wants to create a fun movie for people.

He loves transfomers but not for the same reason as us.

 

Sure it could be Topspin, but there's absolutely nothing in the film to say that it is. It's the equivalent to saying that the generics in ROTF and DOTM are Bonecrusher, Brawl, Scrapper, Sideways etc. - if you want to, fine, but it's non-official.

 

I think it can be topsin but those of us who don't think it is have logic to our complaints.

There is literally no other change made its just a headswap. it is confusing. barricade got a brand new head, as did canopy, I would compare Nitro to this phenomenon but he was re colored..so IDK even in this messed up continuity it doesnt make sense

 

I did tweet Turturro, and I haven't gone to Nelson's site in A LONG time. Had a very bad experience over there.

fwiw, a bunch of the transformers wikis have topspin & roadbuster in cuba....man..poor leadfoot...

I saw it second time. It was Junkheap playing ball which means they reused that model twice within a 30 second span.

 

Yes they were the yellow and white Junkheap judging by their shapes.

Ok so I just seen the scene in cuba where "TopFoot" that's what I'm calling him, is a longer scene. When I seen it all 3 times, I got the dialogue of him rushing Simmons to get off the phone and then it cuts to showing "TopFoot" up close. But the video I seen actually shows more of him full body standing in the street as he's rushing Simmons to get off the phone. Never got that in theaters WTF!!

 

Also, TopFoot, doesn't have the big arm claws that TopSpin had in DOTM.

 

i feel his character was just fan service for us.

 

sweet pic but i digress, dotm was a long time ago & as we've seen throughout the film series, the transformers are constantly changing up their appearance so just because it doesn't look like how he looked exactly in dotm doesnt disprove it's him...& im not trying to sound aggressive or anything, im saying this in a calm tone & only offering a counterpoint
