In any case, it's still good on Weird Al to finally get one.

 

Sure does, although I have trouble remembering that he was ever involved in Transformers (and, given my disdain for the live-action movies, perhaps secretly wish he wasn't).

You know these Hollywood Walk of Fame stars are not an award, right? You just buy them. You get your agent to apply to the board, if they agree, you pay a flat fee ($40k), and BOOM -- you have a star on the Walk of Fame.

 

Well, I am glad that he has saved up $40K over the last thirty plus years then.  

 

Uh... no. There is a board that has to vote on all nominees, as well as qualifications on who may be considered. Yes, there's money involved, but it's hardly a straight purchase.

Now seems like a good time to share this life sized Weird Al Doughnut I made for work this time last year--
It's a bit difficult to see, but I made him clutching an Animated Wreck Gar (and a Captain Peanutbutter).
This puzzle was delivered to Mr. Yankovic who used it as an opening for his stage show that evening (beginning with a live feed of him in his green room where he'd assembled it).

 

lol okay. They vote on whether to take your money. And the qualifications have become more and more lax over the years.

Well it\'s about scraping time. Also, I\'m pretty sure if you could just BUY a star, Al would\'ve done it years ago. Or maybe not, he doesn\'t seem like the kinda guy who really cares about stuff like this.
