Bay even said in the live Q&A that the Cogman stuff had to be cut.

The change in conversation was definitely abrupt.

To be fair though, this sort of choppy dialogue for the Transformers is totally normal in the TF films. I constantly feel like the Transformers are just spouting dialogue in quick spurts when they get the chance and the humans don't fully react to what they're saying properly.

This was freaking rampant in AOE and this scene definitely reminded me of that.

If this movie doesn't have an extended cut when it's released, I'm gonna be pissed. It has so much potential but to shut the mouths of those who complained about AOE being too long - we got a rushed product with important missing scenes.

If TLK was so rushed (it wasn't), then why were so many non-important scenes in the movie?

They rushed for a finished product. Michael Bay finished editing the movie the day of the premiere in China. They literally scrambled to get things cut and make it shorter. It's obvious in the movie...

Because those parts like in all movies are the parts that Bay added specifically and thought were important or funny. Come on, the whole Vivian's Aunts scene and Cogman fishing and the long drawn out Cade Vivan introduction/stripper joke scene. Did we really need any of that and it all screamed of Bay humor corny scenes.

Bay did say in the Q&A that there was some rushed editing

Michael Bay's failures as a filmmaker don't make this a "rushed product." He could have had an extra year and he still would have been "editing" until the final hours. He doesn't know what he is doing and his ineptitude is why The Last Knight is a failure.

Exactly. Bay takes a script and adds scenes he thinks are funny. Relevance to the story? Fuck those scenes.

How is it that other filmmakers can deliver good movies that are two hours long and aren't being edited until the final hours?

All I know is in the next one there should be a lot of Knights on Earth/Cybertron. There were still a lot of Knights on the ship rhatbis still floating above Stonehenge lol. And the DragonStorm Knights now on the Knight Ship. Which will probably become their new ship.

You know what movie (besides Starwars in December) I'm most excited to see? War for the planet of the Apes!! Every one in this series has been great! Good Mocap and CG, awesome characterization of the Apes and awesome overall story that has me entertained from start to finish. Why can't a TF film do this?

False equivalency. The extended editions of Lord of the Rings weren't necessary to explain the theatrical versions' plots. The latter versions still made sense without the extra scenes.

They probably would've goofed it up even if they did. Who knows to what extent they would've been portrayed as "brothers" in a backstory.

because all of the add babies moaned too loudly....awful...much like dotm, you can tell there's a big chunk of this film collecting dust inside some studio vault
