I'm 99.9% positive Nitro's head was completely intact. His eyeball was on fire which could indicate Bee shot a hole clean through his head, but I can say almost confidently that he did not get decapitated.
^ And on that note, at what point has a Transformer losing an eye being the cause of death? Wheelie didn't die when he lost his eye, and obvi Barricade got some new eyes.
I personally am still in denial that he died from that.. I mean, he's a robot! He should still be alive despite the fact he's missing his throat and eyeball right? He'd just be blind and mute. Easily repairable by another transformer.
I am very sure that Nitro is dead. It is very unfortunate too because he was entertaining through and through with his tough guy attitude. Honestly, it was what I was expecting from Onslaught when they revealed his alt mode. Hope he's alive, but it looks like he was shot straight through. Mohawk was blown apart, but his head talked and I didn't see his eyes fade. He might be alive. Again, I hope he is because of how rare a treat Decepticons with personality are. I don't know, maybe Quintessa can repair him? It's all pointless, though, they're deader than a doornail. Coincidentally, by the same yellow bastard.
Exactly!! Nitro was just fine. Perhaps it was a trademark issue with the toy? About both of them, I think it's hard to say conclusively whether they're dead or alive. Mohawk's words after getting his head blown off could both be his final breath, or that he still survives ala Frenzy. So too Nitro, yes we see him getting shot in the head, but it's not a stretch to imagine he could survive that.
So I rewatched the scene where Nitro gets shot, and I was wrong. The dude's whole head is on fire after being shot, but it's still largely intact. That significantly decreases his chances of him still being alive imo. If the headshot didn't kill him, its possible he may have been crushed by the falling debris too. All we can do is hope they notice how well recieved Nitro was and if his toy sells well we may see him in the future.
Considering Megatron's ability to (yet again) know everything there is about the latest MacGuffin... He somehow flew off to Cyberton, beat Prime to the planet without turning into an icicle... met Quintessa (he bears the mark that "Nemesis" Prime had)... bolted straight back to Earth... then set forth to hunt for Merlin's Staff. It's a huuuuge stretch... but really... how else do you explain his willingness to be an underling AND also know about the newest MacGuffin... AGAIN?
That's another reason I didn't want to see the movie, because I know they don't believe in having cool bad guys live.

I'm a little dumbfounded by Mohawk, Bay gets flack for Skids and Mudflap and he goes right back to the well a similar type of character portrayal?

I'm gonna need as many KSI Bosses as I can get, and it won't be a hard custom since the toy is just the KSI Boss with a different head and arm. Making an accurate Nitro Zeus is actually gonna be harder, since he's supposed to have a shit ton of more changes than the toy does. New headcanon: So Barry has red and blue eyes in his TLK body to extend his police theme even further, right? Wrong. He ripped out Que's optics and replaced his broken ones with those, and eagerly awaits the day when he can remind his nemesis that he killed one of his "old friends" before his own eyes just before he finally gets his own revenge.
I actually had an idea too: Barricade hunts down Dino and kills him (Somehow ends up with his altered head on). Because the heads are very similar. ^ikr man... But on another note, what are people even talking about? Barricade totally uses his head's battle armour. Did some people miss scenes? I also saw the Scrapper Transform, which many claim never happened.
