Pretty sure they'll show it or play it off in a way to show how he did it, when he does the same to his sister. Since she has now become the very reason why Jamie killed the mad king, his face says it all when he returns in last seasons finale, gone is his sister.

Hope at least he kills her. Its proper for it and seems like it will happen.

    Interesting. Strange though that
GRRM has said repeatedly that he doesn't want to write the kind of books where everyone teams up against a Dark Lord, but that seems to be where the show is headed.

Didn't we actually see this in Bran's vision last season or am I imagining things? It was brief but I swear we saw Jaime in the throne room killing Aerys.

Also this new trailer is bonkers. So much hype.

Did we ever connect why the white walkers were taking babies. I'm assuming it was to make people like the night king, but does that mean they age super fast, or they become the long haired walkers?

They showed a baby being turned into a white walker. But it was still baby sized. They haven't shown the aging/growth process.

Man, I sure picked the right time to get full on into this show! I am so pumped up right now! I wish I could fast forward to every Sunday for the next 6 weeks!

And there's a pretty good idea what the gift from Euron is.

And poor Sam, I can stand dog shit, human shit is another thing...

Wow, holy shit, just wow. That prologue sequence was down right amazing. THAT is how you start a season!

Of course, this entire episode was just pure gold. I loved every moment of it. Okay, not every minute as the stuff with Sam was kind of gross, but that aside, this thing was superb. The ending sequence was so well shot and I loved that nobody said a word until the final second. I wish they could just give us the rest of the show in this season instead of making us wait until 2019 for the final 6 episodes.

I loved the scene when Arya was just chilling with the guards. Oh, did Cersi ever tell Jaime that Tom took the name of King's Landing literally or does he not know exactly how he died yet? I couldn't tell. John really needs to understand how to make men follow him. Letting children rule castles was a joke. However, I loved it when the one girl (can't remember her name right now) told her men that a girl should have to learn how to fight just like a boy.

As I said, great episode overall and an excellent start to the season. I hope they can keep this momentum up.

Decent opener, loved the very beginning. Sansa is going to be a bitch this season and fuck the new house Stark, I know it.

Anyone think that Arya wiping out the Frey's will make things easier for a Lannister force to head north?

Jon needs to get some people to Moat Cailin ASAP.

I'm sure he knows. He's not stupid.

As far as the kids ruling castles - presumably someone else is acting as a Regent until the kids come of age? Often it was the Maester in the books, I believe.

I just can't believe there are many men left in the north who can fight. Tons left with Robb and very few came back. Seemed like the rest killed each other during the battle of the bastards. Who's left?

Maybe. I don't see her doing something that's straight up treasonous but I'm sure they will use the possibility for dramatic tension. I thought it was good that she reminded Jon not to underestimate Cersei. Show Cersei seems to be a lot more cunning than book Cersei - you don't want to count her out of anything.

    Wow, what an opening!
Arya taking names (or rather, striking them from her list :D )! The quieter moments with her and the soldiers was pretty good too. Didn't even notice Ed Sheeran's cameo until after.

Jon definitely has his work cut out for him, and I agree with his flexible method of leadership over Sansa's more black-and-white interpretation (c'mon, that's how your dad lost his head, girl, use your head, like you told Jon... she really needs to follow her own advice). Podrick, Tormund and Brienne continue to entertain with their very brief scenes together.

Loved the scenes with Sandor, Thoros, and Beric. The Hound is in danger of becoming a good man.

Dany finally arriving at Dragonstone was wonderfully shot, letting the scenery and visuals do all the talking for her (juxtaposed against Cersei's gaudy/pretender map of Westeros as she literally walked all over the lands and trampling them underneath her feet vs. Dany's fingers brushing the map table gently as a mother would to her child).

    "Shall we begin?"

    Yes, yes, we shall.

    Looking forward to more!

Jaime may not have known the exact details of King Tommen's death but he does know it was suicide and that Cersi was the root of it.

Seems to have done a fine job so far. He set up a call for action, gained the alliance of two houses and refused to past judgment onto the children for the sins of their father.

That's just the line of succession. If the lord dies that role is past onto the next of kin. Also that girl is Lady Lyanna Mormont.

My wife loves this show and this was her highlight of the summer. She's hoping to watch as many eps till our twin next month. :)

I never got into the hype of this show till last season (even watched each season twice bc I WANTED to really love it), but last season was amazing. Esp now that everything is coming together. You definitely got in at a perfect time.

I didn't notice this at first but the dead father and daughter are the same ones that were robbed by the Hound after they sheltered him and Arya. Also I didn't expect the opening to start out like that but it was fully deserved.
