Agreed. Remember the Joblo leak last year that talked about Merlin? My instinct told me that idea was stupid as fuck, but having seen other films execute strange things brilliantly, I had hope that they could execute Merlin's involvement in an interesting way. Instead he's a drunk Tucci who needed to be shot as soon as he appeared on the screen.

I honestly feel that with as much as they put into advertising this time and how it seemed like they were getting trailers to us super fast, that now it's all because so much was cut and they rushed the movie so much that of course they had time to get stuff out as fast and often as they did. It seemed to me that the movies that Bay said he had to edit right to the very end and almost didn't get the movie done on time, those were the ones that turned out the best lol.

IDK, I just feel like there is more to this than meets the eye. Pun intended. No TF film has been treated like this. Nothing feels right. But that's my opinion and feelings.

Not sure if this thread is one I should ask my question in, but I thought I saw Scrapper standing with the autobots for a brief moment in the junkyard.

The shot was very short, and it reminded me of "bonecrusher's" brief cameo in ROTF.

I wholeheartedly believe this movie was initially over 3 hours and was cut to be 2.5. 30 minutes doesnt sound like much but if you extend all of those quick jumping scenes by 30 seconds this movie could have been much better....like muchhh better. Every single gripe (besides stereotypes and bad comedy) goes back to editing these quick scenes.

I don't know if it was actually that long, but the editing is definitely the biggest (non-continuity-based) issue I have with this movie.

That wasn't Bay, that was Lorenzo DiBonaventura that admitted to doing that.

I feel this. While watching it I felt like a lot was cut out to keep it shorter than AOE. I REALLY hope we get an extended cut on dvd...

Yes! When he was speaking I was thinking to myself, "This sounds so unnatural." There were so many random different one liners crammed into 60 seconds.

I'd believe it. This really does seem to be a problem in general with it comes to post editing these days. Doesn't mean Bay isn't at fault all the same, we know what he's capable of, but it does sound like there was more going against the production of this film then just Bay's usual nonsense.
