First things first, have you seen the movie? Because it's only out today so unless you went to the previews you likely have not seen it. In addition the reports from the previews are contradicting the reports from those who have went today - certain scenes are missing or altered - including the previews not showing the death of Nitro (according to those who went when asked in the other thread)

Once again, several other Transformers websites are claiming he is dead due to the exact scene being described by everyone here - so unless you can say without a shadow of doubt that Megatron is alive afterwards then the general viewpoint is that he's dead.

 

I'm sure Megatron is alive. He exits the scene via being kicked through the wall by Optimus. Even ignoring that he's a jet and can fly away from that, all the Autobots survive the exact same drop later in the scene. Hell, considering this movie reintroduced Barricade, a character who seemingly definitely died in DOTM (his eyes were shot out, his legs were blown off and he was last seen with the military descending on him) I'm sure we can assume Megatron is A-OK.

 

yes i have seen it...his defeat is ambiguous, think galvatron from the 86 movie, in fact that scene is probably an homage to it. The death of nitro IS shown, not really clearly though..but murderbot bumble bee ripped his head off. At least it looked like his head, that part wasn't really clear. BB ripped SOMETHING off him, and he sparked like he was dead.

 

Uhhhh... there were Tuesday night showings, which I and I'm sure many others attended. Megatron did NOT die, he's alive and 'kinda' well at the end of the movie. I don't know what your sources are but they're WRONG

The final battle was a mess. The entire movie was a mess. Megatron and the decepticons were a mess. It did not feel like a transformers movie. The first 40 minutes could've been cut down (human scenes). I couldn't tell who the Autobots were fighting, there was barely any dialogue/fighting between Optimus and Megatron. I'm over Michael Bay and I'm over this universe, as a Decepticon fan. I'll put TLK at a slightly better mark than AOE. Rant over.

Apparently shot in the face. I don't see how that kills him. How many transformers have been shot in the face and are perfectly fine? I mean, Spark untouched. Could easily bring him back

Maybe Mohawk survived as he did talk after being decapitated (but I'd argue his failure to show up in future scenes is telling) but Dreadbot (who was bitten in two by Grimlock) and Nitro Zeus (who had his head blown up by Bumblebee) are pretty decidedly dead.

Well, it makes sense to me that Mohawk wouldn't show up tbh. Someone said the other Decepticons abandoned him and that's why he got killed

 

So Megatron, Barricade, and maybe Mohawk are the only Decepticons to live.

You haven't even seen the movie and you're arguing with people who have, using ambiguous unnamed sources. Who and how many people did you survey to come up with this "general viewpoint" you claim is fact? Cite your sources.

 

yeah that part went by pretty quickly...but yeah

 

Yes. Onslaught is shot up by Crosshairs and then decapitated by Drift (Crosshairs even remarks "Can't get much deader than that!"), Dreadbot is bitten in two by Grimlock, Nitro Zeus has his head blown off by Bumblebee and Mohawk is also blown up by Bumblebee (although his decapitated head does say "This ain't right!"). I suppose Berserker survives too, technically.

 

We did think Barricade was dead in DOTM. But he didnt. Megatron is alive its sure.

In AOE, Dinobots didnt see Galvatron and Lockdown at all. But there, Dragonstorm doesnt do anything. Enought
