Yeah I found this really confusing because Topsin didn't talk in DotM so I had no way of gauging if it was definitely him. He also had a different head but the body was exactly the same, with the same company logos on it as in DotM. I don't remember seeing Roadbuster so no clue if it was him or not.

 

I'm still going with the merger of Leadfoot and Topspin thing.

That would explain why we didn't see Leadfoot's death. We only assume he is dead.

 

leadfoot is killed by cemetery wind I mean it shows him getting ripped apart by gun fire. I highly doubt he survived.

 

Hmm... I've watched AOE a lot, but I never actually saw him being ripped apart. I'll watch it later and check it out.

Yes it sounds so silly but seeing leadfoots head on that body was so dumb and took me out of the movie wondering what the hell happened...

 

I don't even know......maybe lockdown took both there bodies and mismatched their heads as a way of dark hummor. To me this is almost as if bay was like "Oh so you tf fans want to see first trilogy movie characters back huh? well here have two....in one motherfuckers!!" as a way of saying " Fuck yall fans".
I honestly don't know if this film is better of worse than Rotf.

 

I doubt Bay had anything to do with it. The script prolly called for a random robot and the vfx crew just did what they could. But sadly picked the absolute most noticeable body for a random bot. And if it actually is a mutant created from them then shame on them for absolutely no explanation

 

IMO its Topspin. I mean its the 48 lowes race car body. The head is different yes, but doesn't mean it isn't him. The Head does resemble Leadfoots' doesn't mean it isn't him. I mean Megatron looks totally different. Barricade looks totally different. Why can't topspin have a little change? On the Roadbuster thing, Its seriously hard to tell if its him or not, but its for sure Topspin

How many fans would expect Topspin of all Autobots to return? I expect the unexpected, so I was one of them lol.

 

I did not notice the different head but I found the voice to be very unfitting. Totally Dimaggio too.

Leadfoot's body was that bot that was getting ripped apart in Lockdown's ship right before Tessa fought off those Drone bots.

It was likely they just needed a random robot for those scenes and simply kitbashed one together not realizing people would have a problem with it. When I saw it I was like "what the heck...?" 0_o
