I know a few people who can't tell the difference between any of the TFs other than OP and Bee and that's becusce they've seen them in every movie, so I can't really blame him.
I feel that the problem is no longer the writing, but the director himself. Get rid of Bay and maybe Lorenzo's Ass and we've potentially got ourselves our first decent Transformers film since 2007.
Do we really need to see their faces on display in every one of their thumbnails? Like is it a vanity thing where they pose for photos of their mugs like anyone cares what they look like?
I can understand a couple of solid grey, spiky, Decepticon monster generics (I couldn't tell them apart either), but being unable to distinguish one of the two main characters from a minor character because they're a similar color? I stand by my emoticon. Sometimes I'm not sure if I just have a better eye for these things because I'm an artist, a Transformers fan, or what. Almost assuredly the case. I've enjoyed the heck out of these films but I'm not shedding any tears over Bay's (supposed) departure. Paramount would be insane to let him come back for a sixth movie, even if TLK ends up doing ganghbusters despite it's abysmal reviews.
Holy shit, the reviews are fantastic. I mean, real laugh out loud, trying not to get caught at my desk not working, fantastic. If anything, these movies have given creative critics a moment to shine.
Uhhh they most definitely aren't. Why is it that every critic who gives a negative review for transformers is accused of hating for no reason, or being a bay hater?
This is the review I was waiting for and it is what I did expected/what I was hoping for. 5 is done, is apparently better then 2/4 GREAT! New director now please, thank you Michael you have done all you could, go and good luck.
How so? To the general public, Hasbro and Paramount plugged the Writer's Room hard as laying down the foundation of a great new universe, with even some Marvel film writers in the mix. Kruger may as well have written TF5 all along, the reviews make it clear whatever the writers room did was negligible to actually making the film better. And whether or not it ultimately was the fault of the writers (the fact we're blatantly copying TF Prime S1 here with you-know-who is a dead giveaway they are somewhat to blame), thanks to all the promotion it's what most people in the public are going to blame. So you're saying if it was a good film in terms of wide reception, you wouldn't want to see it? Denial.
Edit: Whoops you quoted a different post than I thought you did. [OPTIMUS]Sorry, my bad.[/OPTIMUS] Anyway, I'm feeling kind of the same way as Split regarding the filming style of these internet youtube reviews, but I did get a kick out of Chris Stuckman's.
I'm not saying anyone who hates these movies are just Bay haters. But most of these same critics have given negative reviews to other movies and they just flat out say it and why. But when I comes to Transformers, you can just hear the anger and rage in their voice even if they're not directly yelling at their camera. That's my issue, not their opinions.
I think that's becusce they probably didn't like his pasted movies and just see TF as generally bad movies that retell the same story.
This is just... sad though. I thought there's no way it's gonna score less than AOE, and look what happened!!!
