Sheesh when did transformers catch DC syndrome?

 

If thats true, i really hate whoever made that decision. Thats so dissapointing. It wouldve been way better if it were two films. It would also make the whole movie flow properly rather than speeding up like it did.

Nooo...this is definitely the fist one...usually the critics Pam them and the audience generally likes them at least until they've analyzed them for a few days. This is by far the most polarizing one to date, with some (including the ones who were looking forward to it the most) absolutely despising it, and some (including those that went in expecting a train wreck) really enjoying it.

 

I get to see it tomorrow night, after work. Bought my ticket after finding out Drift and Crosshairs make it through the film alive.
As for critics, I pay zero attention to them. I've never given a rat's aft about "movie critics" opinions, because that's all they are, opinions.

Granted, I've never been a big fan of Bayverse, and think Bay is waaaayyyyyy overrated as a director. However, I have given each Bayverse Transformers film a chance. I've gone into each with an open mind. I actually kind of liked the first three. I'm one of a minority who likes ROTF the best out of all 4.
I went into AOE spoiler free, giving it a chance to stand on its own. In the end, I absolutely hated it. Had I known about just some of the things that happened in that film, I would have skipped it.

That's why I've been perusing the TLK spoiler thread, and wanted to know if Drift and Crosshairs make it through alive. I could not stomach another extreme murder scene, like Ratchet's. Since I have been told both make it through the film alive, I'm actually anxious to see TLK. The spoilers I have read have made me even more excited to see it. As with the other films, I'm going in with an open mind and reigned in expectations. I'm hoping I leave the movie wanting to see it again.

Its only going to keep dropping how ever I am kind of liking the fact that we are going less dark and less potty humor in this one kind of makes it worth it.

 

Alrighty. Good to know that this is just as awful as all the other ones. I wasn't expecting this to be anything better than decent but I hoped. I stand by my decision to not see this. I don't enjoy them on any level so why subject myself to them.

Actually there's potty humour in this film, and one of the biggest things that bugs me is all the Decepticons talk in this ridiculous, ghetto style (they continually use words like ass and b*iatch). I don't know why they decided to make them like this. It's strange hearing them speak like "gangbangers"...and I also don't think it's very kid friendly :/

Come to think of it, the Autobots do too. I thought one line was particularly off: Bumbebee holds a weapon to a TRF soldier and says "you'll wish you died as a child".

 

12%, this is painful. I had such high hopes for this one... it's hard to enjoy a movie about something you love when it's been crucified.

 

Hate alone will not show them that. In fact even bombing at the box office would likely scare them or anyone off the franchise.

What we need is a subtle "failure." Not an outright loss, but a disappointing return. Something that shows the franchise is still viable but not in its current state.

It shouldnt. Like what you like and don't obsess over others. If you want to go and enjoy the movie, go. Enjoy it. You probably know you will if you liked the previous ones.

I mean, I love to eat ass, but there are prudes out there who'd condemn me for it. (specifically on my lawn right now with protest signs) Can you believe it?

 

Dammit Lorenzo!!! All you had to do was leave shit alone. But you had to just make this 1 whole film.

 

Scrap you bay, scrap you!!! Only you could take some of the most fun looking decepticons in the entire movie-verse and turn them into rip-off gangsters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you not understand that these are supposed to be soldiers??? Tacticians, generals, shocktroopers, not bar bouncers and guns for hire! The only directors that would make me not look forward to six at this point are m-knight, and whoever did ninja turtles!!! (And of course bay again, but I think paramount was trying to tell him something when they literally put it in the trailers that it was his last one)

 

Still don't get why some people base what movies they're going to see, off of a company who posts the opinions of people who are paid to goto the movies. What happened to forming your own opinion on things, instead of forming opinions based soley on the opinions of others.
