Given the embargo lifts so close to when I'll see the movie(3 and1/2 hours from now), I'm gonna not see the reviews or RT score, go in cold and prepare for anything. Not getting a good vibe though.

Could anyone who has seen the film also explain why Bumblebee can now put himself back together? As I say, I saw it last night and don't recall that being explained at all.

Actually, someone asked me at work what it was about and I said about them finding the staff of Merlin to stop some lady who is bringing Cybertron to earth. And my colleague said wasn't cybertron destroyed in DOTM? Well, I thought so too. Anyone know how it came back? :/

 

I've come to the conclusion after watching his "hype" videos that he knows very little about the franchise and is slightly insane...

Cybertron WASN'T DESTROYED and neither was barricade!!!!!

 

I'm starting to loose hope in the movie I have seen way more negative reviews then positive ones and that is from fans of the movie franchise

 

I really trust you but so far the reviews are super mixed

 

The Star Tribune In Minneapolis gave it 3 out of 4 stars that is different

 

See this is what I mean about continuity. In DOTM the portal closes on Cybertron and it's left all broken up above the Earth (from memory). And Barricade suffers a horrible death in DOTM, so he definitely was destroyed. There's no exposition on how he "came back".

 

I'm in line.

 

He didn't die though, his eye got taken out and they blew off his leg, bee survived FAR WORSE in the first movie.

And that's why cybertron is all broken up in the new one, have a chunk of it was destroyers and the rest was broken up by the portal.

 

Wouldn't the average audience assume this means death? Seeing someone being shot in the head then having their leg taken off usually means only one thing...

 

In all honesty I enjoyed it immensely, you have to really really remember reviews are just personal opinion and in all reality it's dangerous to decide whether or not to see it because of those. A lot of my favourite movies I saw despite the god awful reviews and I loved them! Just take the chance and the best way is to decide based on your own thoughts until this point  

(Also remember Alex of TheRaginNation hyped this movie for himself for 3 years and speculated about a lotta things so I think he was always bound to be disappointed somewhat rip)

Edit: I just rewatched the scene and Barricade was still kicking when the scene changed sooooo...Whose to say he didn't transform and get out of there.
