Its just an interesting topic of conversation. Everyone here knows that these directors most likely would never touch a Transforners film, but its nice to wish. Do you not wish we had better transformers movies and talk about what better movies would look like? That's the same as this. We are just talking about why it would be cool if these directors were to come on board.

Whoever it is, I hope they retain the same production regulars like Steve Jablonsky, Mark Ryan, Reno Wilson, and all the little people behind the scenes who make these movies. Like the folks planting trees after shooting the forest fight, or the ones who had to build props of Bumblebee and Frenzy. I mean I doubt that the exact same people have stayed on since the 2007 film, but regardless of the quality of the films, the production assets and people seem to always know what they're doing. And hopefully that doesn't end with Bay's departure (provided this IS his departure).

Oh I get that, and even agree. I just think because this topic happens SO many times over & over again because no one that makes these threads knows how to use the search button, it makes more sense to just dedicate an entire sticky section to it rather than have New Director Poll Thread #89748373495836 for the tenth year straight, only for it to get buried like they all do and replaced by another 50+ more within hours & weeks.

Sure there are a lot, but you might be exxagerating a bit. I only see new polls like this every one or two months and I check the first page of movie threads almost daily.

Why not suggest to the mods to make this thread a sticky then? That would produce the results you want more than what you first posted.

My choice would be either J. J. Abrams or James Gunn (but Del Toro is also a good choice, because of Pacific Rim).

A rated R transformers directed by Neill Blomkamp has always been a dream of mines.
But I've accepted the reality of that never happening due to the pressure of toy sells.

If THAT is the case then I am all for that, but I have a feeling it is going to be more like the new Starship Troopers movies. Although those are great, I don't want anything like that done for the Transformers film franchise.

I'll be pleased if Guilermo or Doug Liman can direct TF6, they both know action and story telling quite well, Blomkamp is 3rd choice becaus he knows how to use different weaponry from each robots.
