The Darkness (isn't that game already out?)

its been on the PS Store for a while, which is how I played it. Be prepared for some of the stupidest AI you've ever encountered, aside from "boss" fights.

 

Darkness demo is up, I didn't see DW:Gundam though.

 

That's a staple of the series though.
The only characters that block are the bosses.
The main troopers' best skill is dying.  

I had sworn off the series, but the inclusion of Gundam has my interest.
At least for a free demo, right?

 

i never really enjoyed the dynasty series....

but the darkness is fun. but i've kind of gone off uber gore games recently.

 

I love the Dynasty Warriors series of games, but I got a little tired of it. Making everything Giant robots sounds good to me! So, yeah, I will buy it.

 

So they're taking 1 of the most mediocre game franchises ever and 1 of the absolutely worst game franchises ever, throwing them in a blender and getting this?

Yeah, that sounds like a winner.

 

Say what you will about the Dynasty Warriors series, but it sells in droves in Japan. I also believe, of its type, it still is the most fun, better then Drakengard by far and more enjoyable then 99 knights. Also much better in about every way then the Kingdoms Under Fire seires in my opinion. Despite all that, I pretty much stopped playing it after DW 4 because it was all just the same thing recycled, so while I can't argue with it being a mediocre series, before it became more of the same, it was very fun and giving a twist by making everything Gundum interests me enough.

 

For some reason all those lame components add up to something that appeals to me. Maybe its because Gundam is known for scenes where the hero cuts through legions of bad guys and only finds resistance from the enemies who have any character.

Plus, I have a soft spot for giant robots.

 

Didn't find the Gundam demo, the Darkness demo wasn't in the games/new arrivals for me. I had to go into the demos/new arrivals. Theres also a Juiced 2 demo.

 

my friend says the gundam demo is up on the PS3 network, but not XBL (he has both)...

Got my hopes all high, turn 360 on, and they divebomb. I knew the Demo has been on the PSN a long time, I even told a friend which liked it alot. They better get this demo out soon as the game releases pretty soon.

 

I don't see Gundam or the Darkness.

Blast! So when is the official release? I understand that the grunts are HOPELESS but I'm thinking of just getting the PS3 for this game! I was tempted by the Japanese release but held out for the US release.  

 

EB lists it as August 28th for both 360 and PS3.

 

I've had Gundam Musou for PS3 for awhile and it's a pretty fun game. Obviously you should know what you're getting into with it, which is the same DW formula with Gundams. But there's something satisfying about mowing over a bunch of drones with a Gundam. It's held my interest a lot longer than any standard DW game has.

It's definately a game where DW, Gundam, or robot fans will probably enjoy it. But anyone who doesn't care for the repetitive nature of the engine will bash it to no end.

Personally I'd stick with Pac-Man CE on 360, that's the best game I've played in ages.

 

So much for teaming up with you for a session...

 

I still don't see Gundam on the Marketplace and IGN hasn't mentioned another word about it.

They also said there would be a big Street Fighter announcement yesterday.
Yesterday came and went and they got nothing -you would figure they would update and say "Capcom let us down" or something.
