I should have clarified. I meant from a design perspective. All the Autobots I mentioned looked good not goofy with hair and/or bulging eyes. It's Transformers not the Muppets.

What character development? He says something meant to be funny but isn't and he looks awful.

I have to agree here. Jolt was an awesome design, and the electric whips were creative weapons. I hated that he's literally just there to sell a car (I'm sure that worked wonderfully given his screen time) and then disappears, but they bring back Brains and Wheelie.

While I didn't like the design I did find Wheelie likeable. He didn't have an unrealistic, exaggerated voice like Brains.

"Wassup fellas" isn't meant to be funny. It's meant to set the tone of the character being outgoing/crazy, which is character development.

And his looks are to correspond with his personality. His name is mowhawk, he's crazy and outgoing. So making him look like that is perfectly understandable and ultimately is character development. I mean, look at Drift. Drift doesn't look like a typical robot but his design matches his character, right?

So what's the difference here? At least mohawk will stand out and won't be remembered as *decepticon fodder#294675 who doesn't say anything and looks like a drone*. That is something that I can appreciate

Personally I'd rather a growling drone over a robotic Muppet. I get what you're saying but it's no good if it's a crap character.

    But you don't know that?

And we must be opposites. Because I MUCH rather have a decepticon with a personality that speaks than a semi cool looking drone who is just there to be fodder

I wish it didn't have to be either "big cool looking drone" or "small hideous comedy robot".

"Whassup fellas?" Is not want to hear from an alien robot. He looks like a robot Muppet to me and I really don't want a Decepticon version of the Twins or another Brains.

We'll just agree to differ. Maybe growing up on Marvel UK and Star Trek, I just prefer my sci fi with intelligent writing not robots with hair or impersonating Jar Jar Binks.

Saying Wassup fellas is wrong but Bee can take a piss on a person for comedic relief and it's all fine? Do you really want me to name all the dumb things these robots do that's way worse than "wassup fellas"?

And here comes the typical pretentious behavior.

You missed my point, so I'm done with the conversation. Hope you get your super "intelligent" drone like fodder cons with no personality or character development in the next film

He looks good to me, but in any case i wouldn't worry, he'll be dead within 3 scenes.

Pretentious? Just because I like intelligent stories and characterisation?

I missed your point? I didn't actually. You want Decepticons with character development. So do I but not stupid, goofy looking 2 dimensional shit with a tacked on accent in place of actual character.

We agree on one thing though. This conversation went on far too long. We'll just agree to differ and keep it civil.

It's not development, but it is character. Most decepticons have the exact same character on screen, so yeah it's nice Mohawk is one of the few that are a bit different.

Making it seem like no one understands what an "intelligent" character is? That is very pretentious. I never said I didn't want "smaht" robots. I said I like a decepticon/autobot with a personality that fits their design. Drift for example.

    Hot rod? Drift?

Or like in "Armageddon," when they show the government trying to capture everyone who just bailed on the oil rig.

Does it even matter how good of a character the Decepticons (besides Megatron) are? They'll all end up dead by the end of the film anyway.

To Clarify, they don't all end up dead @NanSapwe.

    They don't?

That's a first. Besides Starscream and Megatron they usually end up deader than dead by the endgame.

Oh and Barricade which always zombifies himself.
