Because Bay didn't like the classic screechy voice Welker had for Megs and felt it would be disrespectful to ask him to change it. I think a combination of his spat with Weaving and Welker's new voice for TFP Megs did the trick Bay getting Welker as Megs.

 

I think I'm going to have to glue a Mohawk on Brimstone.

 

Honestly you may as well. That way you know what to expect and won't be disappointed after seeing the movie.

Whether the film reviews well or not, they seem to be getting so much right with this entry. I think this will bode well for future films.

 

That's not what a nameslap is..

 

So you don't think getting obvious ideas from other movies and incorporating it to another franchise is "ripping off?" Transformers has so much mythology, it seems like the writers room just got pieces from other movies and shows and stuck them together with transformers.

 

I mean, they pulled a little from Tf prime but what other movies are the ripping from?

To be fair, it's not like Transformers doesn't have a bit of a history with that sort of thing. Remember that whole thing of the 86 animated film "ripping off" aspects of Star wars?

O yes it is. They made a character and just slapped a name on him...name slap.

 

A name slap is taking an old name and applying it to a character that doesn't suit it. Dreadbot is just.. A bad name.

 

They should've just sticked with swindle or crowbar instead of "dreadbot", it sounds completely stupid the more you say it.

Yeah I remember, but this is 2017. They could have at least followed some aspects of a classic comic intertwined with another or something. It seems like this movie is just made from complete scratch. But I will with hold my judgement until I see the movie.
