TRANSFORMERS & G.I. JOE Reunite for 2017 HASBRO Crossover FIRST STRIKE Courtesy of Newsarama, we have solicitations for the third and fourth issue of the First Strike event. Spoiler What's interesting to note is that the outfit on who appears to be Joe Colton is also visible as a separate character from Baron Ironblood on the fourth issue's cover. Perhaps we've been mislead this whole time? BUT HEY LOOK GUYS, THE SOLSTAR ORDER! Nikomi, Q'b, and Blob Guy are here to help save Cybertron!
These covers are really great. I'm excited to see the Solstar order interact with Cybertronians however I'm still left unsure as to how I feel about Cobra successfully invading Cybertron. I'll definitely be buying the first issue along with a few of the tie-ins. Hopefully this turns out fun and not too unbelievable.
That is Shazraella, possibly enerchanged with Elita-1. That's my theory at least. On the topic of the Solstar Order though, I'm thinking that might just be a cover. All those characters are the same as were in that panel in ROM #2, even a pre-armor Livia (who is colored like a human.)
Cybertron gets invalid so many times that it was only a matter of time before humans did it. Plus Cybertron only has one cities that's still recovering from the Undead Titans invasion.
The cover artist used a fanart of the a Elita One Prime as a reference. How did the editors not see it?
The aftermath of First Strike would have overshadowed the stories in TAAO which can be picked up later in OP since both series were basically telling the same story of Transformer politics.
Except it didn't destroy TAAO? Unless you're saying TF fans were, like, buying Rom instead and that's why its sales suffered? TAAO was cancelled because its sales were slipping. Scott was asked if she wanted to come up with something to shake up TAAO's format and relaunch in the aftermath of First Strike (which Scott is co-writing, I hasten to point out), but she declined. I don't get where this persistent idea came from that Scott decided to end the book because First Strike messed up her planned story... Like, again, she is literally one of the people in charge of First Strike.
