A simple "no, we can't do that" would have sufficed. I don't want to feel like I did something wrong because I got a few good deals on the auctions. I'm sorry for bringing it up.

The lack of a picture for Megatron made less people notice it if nothing else. Like I said, I was happy with my purchases. I just thought it was strange that raising my max bid raised my current bid.

Apparently. I had the Starscreams at 50.09 max. Someone must have bid 50 because it was at 50.09. I raised my max to 60.09 and it jumped my bid to 52.50. I don't care about $2. I spend thousands a year on this hobby. I just thought it was odd. Unless someone made another bid while I was raising mine. In any case, it's over. I'm happy with my purchases.

Wow! That's uncalled for and very unprofessional! Maybe you should have set a reserve if you felt things were going too cheaply. Or maybe posted more or better pictures and or descriptions. Or maybe you should not rip people off by having them bid against themselves when they increase their maximum bids.
I noticed the same issue. So I stopped increasing my max bids. I would have gladly paid more for some items, but didn't want to bid against myself. I missed out on the end of most auctions, so wasn't able to outbid others. So you lost out on some money there, Max.

...likewise; i noticed the issue back in auction four...

...looks like some kind of hibid glitch, possibly related to increasing oddball maximums from below the next 'allowed' interval?..i know that when i first encountered the self-raising issue, my previous maximum bids were all weird in-between numbers (based upon anticipating the 10% seller's premium and shipping costs when setting my maximum bid)...

...like thundershot, i didn't make an issue of it because it was only a couple of bucks, but that's not the way proxy bidding is supposed to operate...

Actually. I snagged the Elites! (Got Charger too)
I thought for sure they were going to go higher so I was quite pleased. Too bad there were no Turbomaster or Tracks figures (...must...finish...collection...).
To find these guys in great shape and with cards isn't such an easy find.
I found Bombshell and Sideswipe recently on eBay for decent prices complete with cards so I'm glad I didn't have to try to win those too!
Completed my turbomasters with Boss as well

Put a couple of bids on Ruination but had spent enough $$ already!

Overall, the auctions were a great way to add to my collection. (i am now the proud owner of a really nice Dai Atlas!)
    Thanks!

I've raised max bids many times and it never affected the amount the auction was currently at.

There have been reports of it being a glitch in the matrix that you can be winning a bid, up your max and it bids again for you.

Say you're winning at $10 and your max is $10. You go to up your max to $20 and it bids it to $11 for you.... essentially bidding against yourself.

I've heard of it happening and it may have happened here, but we have no way of showing that it did.

It's a known bug in the software that was reported to you at least two months ago. I find it hard to believe you don't have access to bid histories.

Sorry but I took offense to the post. You're the 6th person this auction to ask for something more than was included. I have no idea what you bid, or how you bid or if this really happened. I can't reproduce it and it isn't in the logs. I checked. I can see that you increased your bid, but I can't tell when. It takes a call to tech support to get those kind of data logs.

This is a software I lease. Not a software I wrote. So I don't know how you think I'm ripping anyone off.

You seriously made this your first post?

I reported the glitch. There are 4500 auctioneers using this software. It's been reported a handful of times. I just started a thread in a FB forum for this specific software. There's been one response that it's happened to them. It's now in front of over 1500 auctioneers for viewing that the problem is out there and as such I'm sure that the software will have a bug fix implemented.

Yes I have access to bid histories. To go into them during the auction makes for questionable behavior so I don't do it. I've since gone back after the end of the auction and looked. I addressed this above.

If anyone feels like they were shorted.... you're welcome to address me privately. I believe I have plenty of backing that I'm a stand up guy and make sure to take care of people as best I can when they're being civil.

You took offense to my post?? The minute it happened I even posted something here. I also said it's only a couple bucks. And it's a known glitch in the software apparently. I wasn't expecting anything. As I've said multiple times, I've been happy with my purchases. Now and the previous auctions. I just don't appreciate being made to feel like I did something wrong because I got some good deals... I was never truly worried about the $2.

I look forward to my items.

Yes..... long day and tired of people asking what they can have or if they can have more.

What I'm hearing from tech support is this is a glitch caused by allowing for the "odd" numbered bids. This doesn't happen if you force the schedule apparently. Since you bid $50.09 and it landed there..... my initial thought would be it would force you to $52.59..... but it doesn't. It forces to $52.50 which is in the schedule. And apparently even then it doesn't happen all the time. They think it only happens when you're up against your max bid. There is a fix in the works.

I also don't like being made to feel like I owe you something when I'm put on blast publicly for something I know nothing about. You've got my email, you've got my phone number... heck you've got my home and warehouse addresses. I just found it odd that you chose to post your concern here first.

It really wasn't a big deal to me until you made me feel bad about my good deals. A simple "Sorry, but I can't do that" would have been fine. And now that you explained the glitch, it makes a little sense. Again, it's only $2. I posted it here because this is where I found out about this whole thing and you've been good about communicating with us here. Also to see if others noticed the same thing, and they did. I wasn't blasting you or anything. Just asking a question. How you answered the question is what caused all the ruckus.

Again, I look forward to my items like everyone else. Out of everything I won, only the Galaxy Force Starscream and RM Beast Megatron are going to my personal collection. The others are going to my kids. (Who are 6 and 9 and love Transformers like dear old dad)

Won nothing this time around. Placed a few initial bids, but was outside playing with my family over the weekend and totally forgot about the auction ending on Sunday. Most of the items in which I had interest were replacements/upgrades for figures I already have, so not a high priority.

...i'm hoping someday to track down whoever bought my full-cast autographed beast wars laserdisc set back in '02: had to pay the rent in a dead economy, but i've always regretted letting that one go...

Things I saw earlier for really good prices jumped massively towards the end.

My son wanted that Dark Scorponok more than anything, so I had to get it. I think I only won because someone else was checking another bid.

For fun I wanted the G1 combiner knockoffs. I'll never get a full collection of real ones, and those will be easier to display. For knockoffs they look like the quality ones that actually transform. I've seen terrible knockoffs that don't have arms or legs.

I accidentally bid on the alternators Sideswipe because I thought it was the Henkei one that was in another lot and won it for $5. I won't complain about that mistake.

I let the legends multipack with Jolt go because I already had Jolt but I wanted that legends pack.

Yes there are some video games in the comic/media lot of TF stuff we've got.

I've got 60% of the items boxed. Sitting down now to invoice people. I think we're to bidder number 7030 or so. If you're before that you'll see an invoice shortly. Otherwise we're working this evening to get the rest done. They're all assembled, just need packaged.

Ugh. One of my pictures came out real blurry so I can't read the shipping numbers. I'll get the rest of the invoices out tonight. Just sent out 10.

A fun little update while we are waiting for packages. Remember that Blaster with the stuck tape from the previous auction? G1 Blaster (with either Eject or Rewind)

I took him apart this week and found the buttons' spring was reversed. He's working as good as new again!

Excellent! I love to hear stories like this, fixing up old G1's as good as new. It's great that you could fix this because the rest of the figure looks to be in very good condition.
