Got mine yesterday. He has a better transformation than Arcee. It's neat. I like that wheels roll. I still wish the truck had a real bed. I like him better than any of the individual Constructicons, Megatron or Arcee. It feels like the head almost is on a ball joint, but I haven't been brave enough to pop it off yet.

    DON"T!

Its on a mushroom peg, if you try to force it off it will likely break.

If you turn his head around you can see the joint from the back, no looking up and down for Kup I'm sorry :(

    Thanks!

Sad about the no up and down for Kup. DX9 needs to add the ball joint back for the heads.

Damn this Kup looks great! Mighty they scale the basic design concept to MP scale as with Mightron?

No interest in the character of Kup, but I do hope that DX9 will follow the e-hobby repaint and five us an Orion Pax from this mould.

Not that I care about Orion Pax, but in the 80's I considered repainting my Kup to make a new, updated and better Ironhide figure. So if DX9 releases this as Orion Pax, I will finally make this Ironhide :)

(But then I had also hoped they would release their Ironhide as Towline.)

There seems to be some cross-over, doesn't there? I am surprised they haven't down scaled more of their MP designs into WIP releases. MP or Legends, either way it seems they have invested time and money designing a toy for a character, and that they could take what they learned and apply it to their other line.

Anyone else have a problem with Kup's legs not popping out of his calves after transformation? They get jammed in there something FIERCE. Manually trying to pull the legs out pops them right off the hip pegs, and you need a screwdriver to try and wiggle the thighs out... :banghead:

A little. I have more trouble getting the feet to fold out.

Yes, and there is noway to fix the tolerance without dimantling pins etc so you are stuck with it. But it is good that is tight otherwise he would collapse on his legs and that is worse!

What i did was put the legs back on the hips and press them down against the waist ball joint as you pull down to extend! It works.

Yeah, too bad about the pin in the foot... cause otherwise, unscrewing things might've helped... :banghead:

But pressing against the hips while pulling? BAD IDEA. Those hip ball joints aren't that strong - I'd be too worried about breaking a hip to get the legs out. I think it's best to remove leg and work from there... it's just bizarre to have to take apart your figure to transform him... and this after the running defect in MEDIC, where his one panel won't fold down completely (for some bizarre reason).

I'm not happy with the crap QC behind DX9 toys.... but the aesthetic is spot on, so... :banghead:  (Honestly, if Hasbro made a Kup in this scale, I wouldn't bother with DX9 at all).

This is me, too. I honestly have a harder time getting the legs fully collapsed than extended. 'll occasionally pop a hip off the ball joint, but I've never felt like the leg isn't going to slide out. There's one foot that I straight up will not fold in all the way, though - damn thing got stuck after the first transformation and it was only luck that allowed me to get it back out.

I love both Kup and Arcee so I'm really happy I got these two. Arcee's nice but I have to say that out of my Arcee lineup with IF Pink Assassin and Legends Arcee she probably has the weakest robot mode. Not that it's bad but it's not quite up to their level. Cute vehicle mode though.

Kup is a stunner. He looks awesome in robot mode considering the scale, and the vehicle mode is quite nice - though I have no idea why they put so many holes and lines on the "cab" of the "truck", it looks like the panel's on backwards or something - they could've left it totally blank and it would've looked a lot better. But the big highlight is that incredible transformation, so creative and simple it was actually mind blowing when I first saw it. Super impressed.

P.S. Kup gets no respect, I tellya. I love that cranky old coot, especially when he was played off Grimlock, perfect foils for each other. I always liked the look of his bot mode and his appropriately humble alt mode - it's simple but sleek, I dig it. And Lionel Stander's voice in the film is incredibly rich and full of character, in fact I think he's my favourite VA job of the whole film and that's saying something.

Got mine yesterday, and he's pretty darn neat- I must say!

His transformation is so clever and original, I'm surprised no other companies ever tried it before.

Awesome figure, highly recommend it. ^_^

I think Toufold is arguably the best legends figure we've ever seen or the most underrated at the very least. Gorgeous robot and alt modes, unique, yet simple transformation, and credit is due for being among the first attempts at Kup at this scale. Iron Factory gets a lot of love in this part of town, but to be honest, there isn't an IF figure I would take over Toufold.

His design really is remarkable. I've gone totally legends class now, because it's so much easier- they're easier to store, display, and they're so light that the joints stay strong much longer than those of larger figures- plus these 3rd party legends class figures just keep getting better and better, it's tough complain- at least for me.

My next 3p legends figure I'm really looking forward to is Mech Planet's Hot Soldiers Soundboard (Soundblaster). That figure is so beautiful...it just blows my mind. It's so awesome, when it arrives I'm gonna scream. Can't wait. ^_^

Toufold is fun, really hoping DX9 will finish the trio soon. I like my Mech Planet HS Soundwave, he's a little big next DX9 figures. I think DX9'S Soundwave will look nicer with their other figures. I hope we get a clear shot of Ravage before July.

i just can't believe how close to the cartoon HS Soundboard and Soundtrack look- it's awesome. Especially if you re-watch Optimal Situation (it might be The Agenda: Part II) from BW, when Megatron hovers over Soundwave- they captured that 3D model very well. (i'm sure that wasn't their reference material, just saying I'm glad it looks so similar)

But he looks like he just hopped out of the TV- minus a waist joint, he's the Soundblaster figure I've always wanted. Can't wait for mine. ^_^
