I hope that's the case. Metalhawk was one of my favorites in masterforce and the one I was most looking forward to in this set. I just don't want to be holding a time bomb and thus far no one seems to know for sure.

Anyone know if there's truth to the rumors that the reason it sold out so quickly is because some scalpers bought truckloads of them while they were still up?

When they hit eBay, we'll know for sure.

In 2009ish Hasbro said they fixed the GPS issue. We haven't had any confirmed reports of GPS since then. It's still possible, but so far so good.

We also didn't know about the rubber on RotF Bludgeon and Demolishor eating away at plastic until about a month ago. Fact is nothing lasts forever.

Magnus Prime looks excellent in hand. I actually like the blue waist a lot more than the red/white, otherwise they appear almost identical albeit with a little more paint on the Hasbro trailer and the different Titanmaster. Glad to see he works perfectly with Godbomber too. That's all I needed to see to know this was going to be great.

For all of the Boardmembers who missed out on this preorder:

I understand that you're disappointed. I would be too.

But to come on here and blame the distribution and production numbers of exclusives, scalpers, how unfair this is, etc. etc. etc. is ridiculous.

You had just as much opportunity as everyone else to put in your preorders. This was up on the BBTS site for a fair amount of time. The fact that you missed out is on you.

    Oh, hell....

Anyways, on topic, that Magnus Prime looks glorious in all the ways that Powermaster Prime disappointed me last summer. Pounce looks great, too! Not sure how to feel about Metalhawk, and I know that I don't care at all about Tidal Wave (owning that mold once is enough).

Honestly, I'd be preordering this box set, but the Canadian options so far seem kinda shady...

WTF? The preorder is already sold out. I just now saw this thread. Are there other sites selling this?

One day isn't "as much opportunity" or "fair amount of time". What if some members were sick? Or at family functions? Or work? :lol

At first, I wanted to warn you about saying such callous things (because you might learn that people dislike such comments in general), but then I realized you might be defending your own hoarding! :lol  We see this all the time, "It's not scalping, guys. There was plenty of time to buy! I got 5 sets for my friends!" :lol  Look, you don't need to put those without down in order to psychologically validate your own questionable actions. If you find your multiple purchases unethical, then don't continue to do it! If you think you're right to buy and re-sell, then by all means do so - but don't tell people to essentially "piss off" when you do. It's like throwing salt in an open wound. That's not what TFW is about, right? :)

It's definitely not what this forum is about but complaining about not getting a certain figure or set over and over again is not helping either. Sure it sucks to miss out on something you've been waiting on. But do the legwork, follow up with stores, check the websites and good things usually happen.

Not everyone has a smartphone or instant access to a computer. Can't say "everyone" when individually people have different circumstances.

Also, posts like this doesn't help, only antagonizes, even if that is not your intent.

If you want to be all dramatic, you realize GPS actually affected some brown plastic too? Transmetal Megatron and Magnaboss Silverbolt.

And they still use "gold." It's just a very dull gold. What caused GPS was the metallic flaking in the gold plastic. I have a Japanese Mecha toy produce by Bandai in 1997 that actually suffers from a similar problem because it used the same metallic sparkle mixed into the plastic, except its blue.

It is what it is. Lots of people who wanted the chaos on velocitron set never saw one in stores, or didn't have a TRU close enough to visit.

Having it available only online gave access to the set to many who may not have ever seen it in the store.

I hope that they get more in stock so everyone who wants one can get one, but many of us were checking daily for BBTS to put up the preorder.

The early bird gets the worm, so to speak

I don't care if you disagree w/me or not. Your opinion is meaningless to me. If you want to defend the petty, spoiled, bratty, entitled behavior in this thread then be my guest.

And for the record, I preordered exactly one set for myself because that's all I can afford.

It isn't my intent to antagonize anyone.

But, personally I'm getting sick of all the negativity when I open pretty much every thread on this site lately.
