Our latest audio release from our original Transformers Generation One cartoon sessions is a liittle different. Recorded on the same tape as The Ultimate Doom Part Two we are please to publish the one-on-one recordinng session between Wally Burr and Chris Latta known as the Laserbeak Library Sounds.

This four minute recording should satisfy the most diehard of Laserbeak fans ... umm, we assume there are some.

 

I thought Frank Welker did Laserbeak

 

As did most, but it's clearly Chris on this. You can tell by the line when he talks as well as comparing to some other roles such as Cravex in Visionaries

I wanna share these with people out of context.  

Also need a montage of scenes where Starscream's dialogue is replaced with these screeches.

 

I was cracking up the whole time listening to all the crowing. Had to lower the volume a few times. Didn't want to explain the strange noises to my wife.

 

Amazing! I am laughing! I'm loving these G1 recording sessions so much.

 

After all those takes and variants I can't believe Latta didn't just stand up and tell Wally Burr to kiss his arse.

 

I enjoyed that more than I probably should have. Haha

I almost felt bad for ol' Chris Latta when you'd hear his voice kinda break, and he'd say, "Sorry, I'm sorry-"
And he was kinda out of breath there for a second....

Makes me wonder, though, since they made this library, if he only ever really had to do this the one time and they just pulled from these takes.
Anyway, very cool! I'm diggin' these slugs!!!

Such a pro. No mention of the car battery hooked up to him to get those sounds out on tape at all!
