It's just been a rumor thus far..... But I have a lead on a local G1-Beastwars MISB collection. Owned by a little old lady in her 60's who said "they looked cool on the shelf..... so I bought them all"

She claims to have never removed any of them from the packages.... and bought everything she saw. Guesses she has 700-1000 pieces. But thinks they aren't worth anything. I'm literally trying to convince her they're worth me digging them out for her as they are currently buried behind her baking equipment.

I'll keep everyone informed as that moves forward. I've been working it for about a month now...... I think we're going to turn a corner very soon.

    She's a riot!

Literally the first time I met her she said: "You look really familiar".... now I've been an auctioneer for several years and my sense of humor is a little off kilter..... so I hit her with: "I do a lot of adult films."

    Her response: "You're not black."

I hugged her as I laughed until I cried. Literally.

Well, I can honestly say one of my all-time grails is in one of these lots. Not saying which one...

Some great stuff here. Unfortunately everything I have been after was in like the first two rounds before I knew about this. Not sure I'll be bidding on anything, but seeing as my birthday is this month I may splurge on myself :)  .

Was really hoping I'd be able to get the Cybertron Galvatron at a really good deal, after getting the Armada and Energon versions in prior rounds, but his price is moving up fast

I'm not a MISB collector, but that is insane. Just goes to show that even with a dwindling supply of MISB G1's out there, sometimes you stumble across a treasure trove like this.

Probably. ;)  In all seriousness, good luck to everyone on this thread who bids. It's been a lot of fun. I just look at it like if I miss out on something I want in this auction, another opportunity is just around the corner.

The number of G1 figs I'm missing from '84-'87 is nearly down to single digits, but I can always upgrade a few to ones in better condition or more complete. Just wish I would've been on board from the first auction. Have fun everyone!

I'm not down to single digits, but this is what I find myself doing over the last 1-2 years.
Also, I have started to add Japanese Diaclone and GiG releases, an entirely new plastic crack world.

So we're having a debate in an auctioneer forum.

In an auction do you prefer to have the ability to bid $20.47 or $10.09 or whatever or does it matter? Some auctions force you to a bid increment schedule.

For instance I wanted to bid $51 on an item just now. I couldn't..... it made me bid $50 or $55.

The majority of auctioneers like the nice round numbers. I like more bids. So I allow you to bid whatever. I notice someone likes to bid XX.58.... so I let them.

Just wondering your thoughts on this.

I prefer to bid whatever amount, so $51 in your example.
