@NemesisGamer asked for some pictures of this but I did a review instead. It's no secret that TR voyager Optimus is a toy with some flaws, but can a simple sticker set fix those flaws? I'll start off with robot mode. The stickers for this mode and some of the one from his other more really help this toy stand out a bit more from other Optimus Prime toys you may have. Prime's biggest problem, in robot mode, is his poseability and there is no way stickers can help with that. However the stickers that do show help the stoic poses he can get into the flames bring to mind the tattooed arms of a warrior who has just fallen all his foes, the blue Autobot badges suggest a soldier's combat patch noting his place among veterans of battle. On the other hand his leg stickers are so subtle and subdued that I often forget they are even there. From the back the new flame job on the wings give some the eye something cool to look at from what is normally a boring angle. Now for the mode that needed the most help, the Jet mode. Truth be told stickers alone can't save this mode. It's dumb stubby wings the barely hidden truck parts, it's a mess, but a mess that is fun too swoosh around and now it has a slick silver stripe and go faster flames on the wings, the stickers may not help the look of the jet but they do make it 45% more swooshable. Now for the truck mode, and what maybe the best made for this toy. I think truck mode got the most help. The tanker now has a somewhat G1 stripe on it, the cab got a nice silver flame job, silver around the grill and a tiny Autobot symbol for the front. There's Also tail light and some stickers for the back to cover up the baboon ass it use to have. So do you need this set? Not really, but if your like me and the poorly applied Hasbro stickers were driving you crazy get them.
Wow dang that does make the figure look better!!! Also good review, it showed everything I was looking for. Thank you! I think I'm going to have to order the set now.
wow that's... uh... unique. i dont get why the tanker trailer has stripes to simulate ridges as those types of trailers dont usually have them [if at all]. i guess its cuz if you want to get a more g2 accurate look you have to buy the more expensive set, which is pretty good honestly.
The only thing I didn't like about this reprolabels set is that it covered up the weapons holes on the side of the jet and plane. It's a surprising omission considering how well they did to correct the errors with the Broadside OEM sticker set.
It looks very nice..but I dont think making a thread for reprolabels on every figure is a good idea. I think this should be merged with the Prime thread.
