Definitely part of this is him gaining some form of intel on the Autobots post AOE. In no way do I see him doing this wholeheartedly, especially after so many years working alongside them
I really hope Lennox is just playing his part in gathering information about te autobots location and he does not want to harm them. If he does end up wanting to kill all transformers, I would like Cade to beat the shit out of him for no longer trusting his allies after working for so long with them.
I've been assuming that deception nitro is the movie version of cyclonus myself, have to see how he's portrayed first though.
My theory is after the deceptions crushing loss in Dotm, and you know cybertron being toasted. Then having Lockdown show up with Cemetary Wind at his backing caused earth to be a big "No Go" area for transformers. Once prime killed Lockdown though, transformers probably came out of hiding again and many more probably came to earth because they had nowhere else to go.
