Which is exactly why I really don't like this new look for Prime. Everything from AOE seems like a negative change for the franchise.

Bah, only stuck-in-the-past turbofans would want robots that are called Transformers to look like they actually do transform into something. I mean, who wants to see vehicle parts when CGI can just magically make them disappear!? Visible tires or doors or windows are soooooo 2010. ;)

Jokes aside, and regardless of this thing just looking like a dude in a Prime deco suit of armor, the detail of it is pretty impressive.

I will absolutely agree that the detail in insane and the design itself is quite impressive. I just really like at least a nominal amount of kibble in a movie about Transformers.

Oh I agree... and I don't think anyone should ever have to justify wanting Transformers that look like Transformers. Prime & Megatron no longer look like robots that could turn into anything - they just look like human men dressed up in armor, and evidently all that attention to believable detail of mass, parts, etc. that Bay always championed in earlier movies is now completely thrown out the window in favor of a cool samurai aesthetic entirely reliant on CGI "transformations". This all might as well be a cartoon again.

I completely agree. I do think some of the designs are cool but they don't necessarily work for the characters they're given to.
