Doesn't matter to me. My local AMC has new leather recliners in all 24 theaters. So I can sit back, and enjoy the movie :)

    Ugh, PLEASE no.

I am so tired of movies jam-packed to over two hours long with nonsense instead of a shorter, tighter story without fluff and better focus.

I'm already seeing these movies basically out of a misplaced sense of obligation, the least they could do is not make me suffer that much.

Moral of the thread: Manage your liquid consumption the day you go to see the movie.

You know what? I'm not seeing this result. This could just be Google having those database errors.

You should do that anyway. You can't pause or rewind the movie in a theatre, which is why video (or whatever else like it you can name) rules any day! Though you may have a point since I myself have joked that, with all the filler in these movies, you could leave for a long break, come back, and most likely not miss much.

BTW I haven't seen that information confirmed anywhere else I get my movie info from, but that kind of time may just justify the $260 million they're putting into it. On the other hand, the end results in the films they spend $200 million or more on never seem to justify all that spending.

My version of Google is not saying that.

Still not on Film Classification sites. Nothing is official until the running time appears on those sites. As I said before, you won't see the running time until the very end. Remember that the movie is edited until the start of the premiere. If I recall correctly, AOE was only finalized just 5 hours before the premiere.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I would like to point out that Google said just last week that TF5 was 143 minutes long. Google is not terribly reliable for this type of thing.

I remember in the the bonus features for Revenge of the Fallen, I believe Bay was in Tokyo the morning of the premiere and was doing a video conference to finalize the movie just hours before it premiered. Not sure if they just keep falling that far behind schedule or if Bay is such a perfectionist that he just keeps making minor adjustments until he's forced not to.

Its like each movie gets more dragged out more and more.

If its legit, 3 hrs and 2 min long, I'm not going to go, I'll pre-order the Dvd and watch it from home.

3 hrs and 2 min is long and hard for me to sit in one spot regardless of the recliners available at the threaders. I wish I could but can't, I have to walk around a little bit in between and I don't want to do that

I don't mind long running time if the movie is well executed. But the last 30 minutes all of Transformers movies have been so dragged except the first one. Another problem with long running time is that it will hurt the movie's box office potential. Longer running times = less showtime per day = less gross. Even the first Transformers movie is already longer than all Marvel/Star Wars/Fast of Furious/most of mainstream Hollywood blockbusters. 2 h 30 mins would be the best running time.

    The boxoff
If TF5 story is thrill like the 1st movie then i can said the final boxoffice figure will be higher than previous sequels..it's depends on how many peoples will go watch this movie and some will watch again if the movie is great..the less showtime per day only will influence the opening boxoffice of the movie, not the boxoffice total gross.

It's box office poison to be that long. What kid is going to sit in a theater for that long? There is no way Paramount would allow for this to happen. I am taking this as completely untrue.

Good. Knowing TF4 I was expecting 5 hours at minimum. This way I will at least be able to go take a shit 3 times during the the endless humans scenes.

Then there is this. Again I still think it is too early to be accurate. But this seems way more reasonable.

That's weird because my local theater just posted the same thing.

I'm guessing it's a mistake. Then again, a recent trailer did had the movie as PG-13 Rated.

I'm curious now. Will find out more.
