Yeah that's my biggest complaint of the robot mode: You have to choose between good looking forearms (but this gives him gorilla arm syndrome), or good articulation. I'll post a picture of the arms both ways when I do the written + pictorial review

At £20 less than Argos it's worth it though.

 

This turning up so soon gives me hope that wave 3 (and beyond?) will actually reach the UK this time. AOE Generations stopped after wave 2 (and not even the case revision that actually included Lockdown).

 

The whole distribution of the AOE Generations line (or lack thereof) was bananas. It looks like lessons have been learned for TLK. I was very happy to see Argos get a couple wave 2 deluxes early on (I have Drift), and then this guy.......maybe we might even get wave 4! Imagine that!

 

I have triggerhappy, so thanks for that comparison. You don't happen to have an ROTF Leader Prime to compare to, do you? I would appreciate it.

 

Btw, is the paint on Megatron more gold or yellow?

 

That yellow/gold killing me, waiting for different release, Hasbro version is pass for me.

 

Honestly his proportions look kinda weird. I think I like the voyager better in bot mode, but the vehicle mode on this guy looks absolutely fantastic.

The gold's there on some of the cg images and the concept art, so it's accurate.

 

It leans more to yellow, but it's a mustard yellow that gives the impression of being gold. It looks much better in hand than my camera makes it look

 

Maybe it is not so striking on these concepts, but I do not like it.

I cannot see any yellow / gold here.

 

Where does It have ratchets joints?

 

Admittedly it's more muted but it's there, particularly noticeably on the arm/canon and the legs.

 

Heavy ratchet forward and back at the hip, with a soft ratchet outward. The rest of his joints are swivels but good, solid ones at that.

I ordered mine on Amazon too, they've given me a delivery date from the 13th June to the 26th June. I don't think I can wait anymore, this figure is too damn beast!

 

I'm really looking forward to how Dragonstorm turns out, and hopeful for the unlikely event of them giving Grimlock a new, more accurate leader Class figure. Shame Optimus didn't get a new leader
