I was on page 3 looking at Bumblebee and saving all of the work and guess what happens, the damn thing decides to say its not found. I guess everyone is looking at his work. I wish I knew this was going to happen. I have like 13 more pages to go still. I didn't even look at the QT videos either.
With Hasbro doing figures based on concept art for Star Wars, it would be nice to see them do that for Transformers. Especially since there isn't that many characters to begin with. Cease with the repaints Hasbro, give us concept figures!!!
Go on his websitewith Internet Explorer....Firefox doesn't like it, like a few people have said, loads pretty quick! Some cool stuff in there, G1 Megs especially.
I should have opened a thread here when i did the one on SHH. I see you guys have problems with the pictures and such. I'll be a lazy poster and just quote myself from SHH forum: To save the man his bandwidth as the site went down earlier (Transformers section) im hosting them on FlickR: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46406068@N00/sets/72157600890115534/ Zip folder of all the 99 pictures thanks to Shinobi Rendar: Optimus Prime Transfomation Test A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxulT-DbP_I Optimus Prime Transformation Test B http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJlDamDQwm4 Cheers [/quote] OLD ARTWORK from the Hasbro tour starts at this page in the picture discussion thread: http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=246640&page=506 All this great material is made available for us by the amazingly talented Ben Procter! All images are from his site. http://www.benprocter.com/
Nice. You should front-page that link and save everyone a headache, including the guy hosting that site. Strange that so many of the pictures we saw during the Hasbro tour aren't there.
Procter's a cool cat. Giving props to his fellow artist before his own. I hope at least Hasbro can see the obvious revenue potential for this and get to publishing an "Art of" book... heck, they can even double dip: Autobots and Decepticons designs separated. EDIT: Poor guy, his bandwidth is probably gone by now.
Yeah that's why me and Shinobi got on saving the pictures ASAP. We were practicly racing each other to save them before the site crashed or such. Took me a long time to upload these, only to find out tonight that there's a faster method, a PC program from Flickr for your desktop. LOL I bought the movie guide from the film in hopes it would have the goods like behind the scenes material and concept drawings. The book has neither and old CGI renders we've seen already, not to mention Ironhide is missing and a few Decepticons as well. All that was 20 some dollars. EDIT: GUYS, STOP LOADING HIS SITE! Let his bandwidth reset and use the flickr link i posted above. Here, in case some missed it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46406068@N00/sets/72157600890115534/
Instead of dreaming a fanboy should find the portfolio sites of the people who designed Megatron and Barricade. Procter's only posting the stuff directly related to what *he* did, for more you need to find the other artists who worked on the movie. Shouldn't be that hard, since he does a bit of namedropping in the comments.
Um.. in the same email he said the guy doesn't have a website. Alot fo pros don't show their work on the net, they put their work in portfolios or show low resolution pics of said art.
They were more than two, and several people worked on each bot, remember? Sure, you may not get the main artist for Megs, but that doesn't means some other guys who did revisions won't have pics. Also, he doesn't say Tony made Barricade, so that may be some other guy, you know? Also just because people don't have websites, it doesn't mean they don't post their work on forums like conceptart.org. Basically, you won't know until you really search.
Most if not all the people on Conceptart have websites of their own. GrungeWerX specifically ask for hi-rez versions, and I'm pretty sure you would not find any hi-rez versions of concept art coming out of Transformers movie unless Hasbro wants you to see them. Basically, we're all gonna have to wait til they release the art book.
Well, Procter's webpage proves you wrong already. So basically you won't know until you search. But obviously you're already defeated in your mind, young padawan, so I don't expect you try and get results
I love all the concept stuff really shows how much work as gone into this film. I so much prefer the old-school Prime head, looks more of a leader as well.
If low reading comprehension is part of being a Jedi then their standards have greatly been lowered Original quote... The only hi-rez pics were the promotional pics that the studio released (of the individual bots) for the media which was promptly spread throughout the net.
Didn't they release a ultra-high res render of the final ILM Megatron CG design a month or so back? It was in the same format as the final ILM Bumblebee and ILM Prime pics on his site.
this is just lame the site doesn't load no matter what browser I use I tried FIREFOX and nothing... I tried SAFARI and......NOTHING last but not least.....INTERNET EXPLORER and surprise........NOTHING.... OH WELL SCREW IT!!!
