I think my bias comes from the fact that I'm one of those freaks who really likes the Brawl mold and I really like the colors they used on Nosecone. I don't necessarily regret the UW set but I definitely wish I could find the CW version for cheap just to have some alternate limbs.

Yeah. I would definitely pick it up if it goes the way the G2 gift sets did and becomes 32 dollars, but 72 is harder to justify when I already spent 120 on the UW set

The guns for Strafe and Nosecone were printed in color by shapeways (Orange and Yellow strong & flexible polished material) but they were on sprues so you have to do some cutting and a bit of touch up painting. The new head for Nosecone had to be painted, since I opted for frosted extreme detail material it even has some light piping effect by painting the back half/eyes translucent yellow.

My biggest complaint about this set was the lack of a weapon for Strafe, but these will work fine I think.

I can appreciate some aspects of CW Computron, such as the new hands and feet, but after CW Galvatronus, I was disappointed that they hadn't remolded the combiner chest. I do like the colour scheme on the other parts of the torso, though.

I wouldn't mind getting recolours (preferably Decepticon) of CW Strafe and Nosecone, but CW Computron itself would have been a slightly disappointing addition to my collection - not bad, but nowhere near to being my ideal version of Computron (the UW version, on the other hand, ticked all the right boxes, from the remolding to using the Wheeljack mold as Lightspeed. The HFG feet were easily sorted out. Not too fond of the white of the upper legs of the Combiner mode, though.).

So some of my friends have noticed that cracks are appearing on their CW and UW Afterburners on the windshield/canopy part of the motorcycle. Specifically, the cracks appear at the bottom of the clear portion of the windshield (roughly where the Autobot logo is on the UW version of the figure) near where the windshield is pinned to the figure with the hinge.

I'm assuming it may have something to do with the fact that the top of the windshield is meant to peg into the figure itself for motorcycle mode, and I think doing so (and also unpegging the windshield from the figure for transformation) might put stress on the plastic where the hinge is.

The HFG for the UW figure is also supposed to store on motorcycle mode by pegging into a hole on the top of the windshield, as the instructions say, and I suspect doing that might also lead to the windshield cracking, especially when you put in and take out the HFG.

So what I'm wondering is whether or not anyone else has experienced the same issue and whether it can be fixed. If not, does anyone know what to do to prevent it occurring in the first place? Admittedly, the issue has made me nervous for my own figures in that regard. I suppose using clear plastic for that part may not have been the best design choice, since clear plastic seems to have that reputation for not being able to take stress as well as other types of plastic without cracking.

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if you could help...I'd like to know if there is any difference between the Scattershot figure that came with the Computron set, and the Scattershot that was sold by itself as a Voyager in the CW line? Any pics or links if there are difference would be great. Thanks!
