Video does contain a minor spoiler about the story, but it's a pretty interesting look at scenes and gears in the game.
We've got a preview of the game's premiere skins, both the ones we already knew about (Mr. Freeze, Power Girl, John Stewart, and Reverse Flash) and some new ones (Vixen from Cheetah and Jay Garrick): Mr. Freeze, Jay Garrick Flash, Power Girl and more - new Injustice 2 premiere skin images surface Power Girl is the main one I care about, of course, and it's... okay. They took way too many cues from her various terrible New 52 outfits instead of going with something more iconic. I'll live with it, though.
Injustice 2 Story: 7.5/10 A pretty solid and fun invasion romp, though limited by some character inconsistencies and a rather lacklustre conclusion. Brainiac is a powerful villain, Supergirl does well as the hopeful spark amongst douchebags, Atrocitus is angry, there's some pretty funny moments, some cool action scenes and rather dark stuff.
Spoiler so no one has a problem with the retcon that Green Arrow was in "hiding" during Injustice 1 instead of being dead? Cuz I hate retcons like this.
Spoiler ??? *checks the website bio. Why? He had no reason to come back. And why not call for back up from his dimension when braniac showed up?
No, he's from another universe where Black Canary died, so there 3 Green Arrows universe; 1 who died and 2 that crossed over.
The GA from the Injustice universe is still dead, this is a different one. Let me put it like this. There have been 3 Green Arrow doppelgangers... The GA from Earth 1 is dead. The GA from Earth 2 was in the first game, he was pulled into Earth 1 with the other heroes. The GA from Earth 3 is in this game, he followed Black Canary (from Earth 1), back to Earth 1 becusce his Black Canary (from Earth 3), was dead. Does that makes since?
You have to understand that the video games is tied to the comics. Injustice Years 1-5, Injustice Ground Zero and the just started Injustice 2. While reading the comics is not needed to understand the story line, the comics give more depth to the story. I'm sure once Injustice 2 game is released, Green Arrows story will be explained. I highly recommend reading the comics, It's a great story and cheap too.
Well, my biggest fear about the game has been confirmed: I cannot play the new Wonder Woman. She isn't terrible and I found some decent short combos in the lab, but the minute I'm actually playing her my brain automatically shifts back into Injustice 1 mode and I'm trying to do Demigoddess and wake-up lasso spin. I just know the original version of the character too well. I'm also kinda feel letdown by my intended main: Supergirl. She has some okay combos, but most of her specials suck and I'm not finding her all that enjoyable. So far I've kinda surprisingly found myself drifting back to Harley, my long-since abandoned original main. She still feels relatively the same and I've been having a lot more success with her. I really enjoyed Cheetah during my limited lab time with here, too, though. I'll have to try her out some more. I'm not digging the gear system so far. I like having the ability to heavily customize my characters, but it's bullshit that you can't equip some pieces until you hit a certain character level. I don't intend to play any of the game modes that utilize the stat boosts, so it's annoying that I have some really nice looking equipment sitting around that I can't even use yet.
Yeah, that kind of bugs me as well. I already don't like the whole loot-crate system as it is, but now I gotta grind just to use the stuff I randomly get. Ehhh, I don't see myself playing this for too long.
I still have a bunch of characters I want to try out, but I've been messing around with Black Canary today and I think I may have found my main.
I miss Deathstroke But I dig the loot/gear stuff! It helps to keep my interest. Even if its next to impossible to get gear for characters i want (I've gotten about 300 different belts for Batman but not one helmet/chest, haha) (And aquaman is still a punk xD)
When you want your cousin to join your all-encompassing iron-fisted dictatorship but she says no. Atrocitus, Scarecrow and Supergirl are definitely my peeps for this game. They're so much fun!
Supergirl's not bad. I put a lot of time into her on Wednesday and I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the character now. I still feel that her specials and combos are pretty limited, though. End of the day, though, the big problem is that I didn't find her to be all that much fun to play as.
Scarecrow: "Do you fear death?" Captain Cold: "Not since I grew up." Scarecrow: "Perhaps your sister did..." Honestly you can play Scarecrow just for his voice acting. He's just so stone-cold and cruel, and knows exactly how to prey on every other character's soft spots
