Every auction up until this one has coincided with me putting my daughter to bed. As a 1 1/2 year old she's just looking at me furiously counter-offering while rocking her and thinking:

"You are a sad, sad man."

Joke's on her! Wait'll she sees the chrome on this Slamdance!

This time she was playing and I didn't have to upbid anything! W...win?

Hey, obviously someone else wanted it as badly as you did (wasn't me this time ;) ), so you weren't alone in feeling like overpaying was worth it. We've all overpaid at times to get that one desired piece. But other times you get deals, so it all evens out.

Is paint chipping a known issue with the Clones, or are you just talking about G1's in general?

    Thanks for being patient everyone.

Something is really wrong with my email and software. They just aren't playing nicely together. I've been on the phone for a total of 6.5 hours trying to get this hashed out with both the software provider and Google. We're almost there I think.... but had to be taken to a higher level of support with Google. I should have an answer tomorrow. When I do.... everyone will get their paid invoices and you'll start to see shipping invoices.

We're working on getting packages together tonight. Local pick up guys come tomorrow to get their stuff.

All is well in the TF auction world.

True, true. I won that Darkwing too which I feel went lower than I expected so I consider that a win.

Most (all?) of the Decepticon Clones I've seen have some degree of chipping of the paint on their chests. I'm not sure if it's a well known thing, or something that just happens from play, but in my experience it's tough to find them in perfect condition. Especially when trying to squint at sketchy Ebay pics.

I just check my clones which I've had for some 20 odd years, and sure enough, paint chipping on the chest, especially at the edges and corners. Never really paid close attention to it until you pointed it out.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep that in mind on those figures.

SO IT WAS YOU!!! Oh man I was looking at that Darkwing with wide eyes. His price hadn't gone up and I thought FINALLY I will have one to go with my Dreadwind for a reasonable price, but that guy strait up skyrocketed in those last few minutes. Decent price, still above what I wanted to pay. Congrats!

LOL! That's what's great about this thread, finding out who we bid against. Don't get that on eBay. IIRC, I put in a few bids on that Darkwing too.

    Lol

Sorry you guys! I'm also bummed that Dreadwind went in the first auction (which I missed).

With two (?) auctions left I'm kind of curious to see what's left. Hoping for more Japanese BW lots like maybe the Blendtrons, X-9 Ravage, God Neptune, or Gigastorm.

Or those super weird G2/Euro Powered Masters. They look so terrible that I obviously must own them.

Anything on your wish lists? This way we know who to hold grudges for in advance.

Ok.... email service FINALLY restored. Everyone should have gotten a copy of their paid invoices.

Last night I got boxes together for everyone up to bidder number 7015. So if you are in the 7000-7015 run you'll get an invoice this evening.

There is one more auction coming. It'll be a bit bigger than the others but it'll have loose boxes, parts and pieces, plus the normal toys like all the other rounds.

After that I'll have a comic book sale with some super great key issues if you're into that type of stuff. Action 252, ASM 129, Brave & the Bold 28-30, Fantastic Four #1 etc etc. With those comics we'll sell the rest of the TF related media like the DVD's, VHS, magazines and comic books also. That sale will be HUGE.... probably 600-800 lots. I'll send you guys an email with those details.

    Hi,

I don't remember seeing the Blendtrons or X-9 Ravage, but I think I remember God Neptune. Gigastorm... I'm not sure. Sorry about that.

I definitely remember the G2 Powermasters. Weird little things...

My wish list is pretty basic, seeing as I just got into serious G1 collecting. So I'm after mainstream U.S. stuff; the Japanese and Euro stuff isn't on my radar at the moment. I'm particularly looking for any Head/Target/Powermasters and Pretenders as I really like that 87-88 era between the Movie and the line's downslide with Micromasters and Action Masters.

I had emailed you a while back enquiring about a few missing pieces to some lots i had won. The pieces werent pictured, so i knew i wasnt getting them, but i asked if you had run across any of them. Your response was along the lines of "if i find them". If we see items that were originally included with a figure we won in a lot, will there be any way to claim them?

Phone auto corrected "grail" on me...

And yes, you're right. I'm currently on vacation with spotty reception/wifi access, and the auction I was watching sat stagnant at the same price until the final moments, and the page wouldn't refresh because I had no service, so I couldn't bid higher. "Sniped" was the wrong word, I suppose.

Unfortunately no, I can't allow for claiming. And here's my reasoning......

Other people who may have bid on that item bid on it as it was.... missing pieces. They may have bid more if those pieces were included.

It's only fair to offer the items up for bid as they sit..... various spare parts at the end as well.

A couple binaltech asterisk figures with no drivers, a mech ideas set that was missing a hammer, and an mp7 takara thundercracker missing a missle pod, dr arkville and stand. Everything was pictured and i knew what was missing before i bid, so i won exactly what i paid for, if that makes sense. I didnt want to give the wrong idea that i was shorted or anything.

Thats fair. Again, i knew exactly what parts were included in which lot. And im sure it would be very impractical to verify any claims. Just thought i would take a shot and ask. Hopefully ill be the only person with an eye out for these items. Thanks for the response!

Though I'm happy enough with Encore Soundblaster on his own, do you know if the cassettes it originally came with, Enemy and Wingthing, will be in this final round? Also, package arrived today, which was a surprise. USPS didn't say it'd be here till the 25th. Not complaining though, happy to have Galvatron in hand. Getting that grail was 100% worth the minor dinner awkwardness
