So I was thinking again  



We all know that Bee lost his voice and we know That at least Izzy and maybe Cade attempt to fix Bee's voice as we see it in the trailers. And it wasn't till that scene in the trailer that it was noticed that Bee had a "new" attachment over the speaker of his mouth area. Almost looks like a teeth retainer lol.

Anyway, I noticed something else. If Issy and or Cade reattach that attachment to Bee's "mouth", in his WWII poster he has it there too!! So we ONLY learned in the comics and fluff material that Bees Volcals were taken because he suffered damage at the hands of Megatron during the battle that took place to launch the AllSpark off Cybertron.

So to get to my point, what if that history (which is never mentioned in the movies) just never happend? What if Bee had his voice when he came to Earth but lost it here during WWII at the hands of Barricade or in some other way? And possibly had never had his vocal processor damaged by Megs at all!?

First 2 pics are from TLK past and present. And the 3rd and 4th pics are from DOTM and Movie 1. He doesn't have that attachment in DOTM and Movie 1 of course. So what do you guys think? Could Bee actually have lost his voice during WWII and not at the hands of Megatron like in the comics and fluff material?

 

That is entirely possible. They never explained in the movie what happened.

 

Maybe Anthony Hopkins kept it as a memento. Unknown how close Bumblebee was to him when they met when he was just a small boy. Stated in the IMAX Event.

 

I still don't think that Bee will talk tho. Bee "the radio guy" has just been so engraved into people that I don't think Paramout would like to change that.

 

Good eye! Bee definitely talks in this movie (especially after seeing this pic). It'll be in the climax or fight with Optimus no doubt. Will be a good set up for the standalone movie.

 

So after thinking about it for a few minutes.

1945: Bumblebee is on Earth looking for the Allspark, participates in smashing some Nazis, meets Sir Burton. Fights some Decepticons, maybe Barricade. Gets his voice damaged. WWII ends, Bumblebee resumes his search.

2006: Bumblee finds the glasses on ebay, leaves Earth shortly to brief Optimus and the others about what's been going on. Ratchet attempts to repair him, but Bumblebee has to return to Earth to find Sam and protect him. Last shot of the movie, Bumblebee in 1976 Camaro mode pulls into Bobby Bolivia's lot right after Sam and his father.

 

What does Ratchet say about in TF1? That it was damaged in battle?

Yup and that's it. But never which battle or if like the comics thatbit happens on cybertron. The more I think about it, I hope Bee does lose his voice during WWII on Earth.

 

If i remember correctly, didnt Michael Bay say all events in the comics arent canon after the entire DOTM story was revealed from one?

 

Bumblebee's face is completely redesigned with lots of new parts added. I doubt it has something to do with his voice. If it has, then Ratchet is one shit medic.

 

Yes he said that if it was not shown in the movies, it's not canon.

 

Sorry red but his TLK face and his movie 1 face are 95% identical. Sure a bit more spruced up but it's the same face bud. The biggest addition is the "mouth retainer" that he also has on in his WWII pic but not in the first 4 movies but again now in TLK. And the center nose area is a bit different. Other than that it's his movie 1 face all over again.

 

I didn't mean his face or features have changed. Shapes of the parts are same but the parts themselves have completely new designs and details. Take a look again

 

Bit weird how the '07 render looks more photo realistic that the '17 ones.

 

The chinstrap/retainer was, oddly enough, visible on Laserbeak's Bumblebee disguise. You even see it very obviously flip in place.

In fact I think that piece is part of his battle mask, it clips over the big yellow parts.

 

Well yeah all the parts have been spruced up like I said. The little rivets and the hard edges of some parts and even some seem to be thicker in some areas, almost as if he's "growing up" and getting more chiseled in the face of that makes sense? He's becoming more of an Adult I guess is what I'm saying. So yeah I agree with you there but all in all, they did really go back and go heavy on his movie 1 look in when face and more DOTM in the overall body. I really do think the re-added "mouth retainer" that you see he also has in WWII is an indication that he talked then and will once again.

Like someone else said, it may not happen till the end of he movie but I think they added that repair scene with Issy for this reason. And yeah I agree, that would mean once again, a human did something a big bad ass TF couldn't lol. Sucks but I think that's what's going to happen.

 

yeah!! lol never noticed! Funny how Laserbeak adds it. But Bee didn't have it?
