I think Bay/Paramount is giving away too much of the movie away ahead of the release. I also agree with this that say it's more of the same: probably artifact centered with a worldwide journey to find said artifact that needs a key human to use it to help optimus/bee defeat overwhelming evil forces. I hope I'm wrong.

Not really not at all. We literally only know that Optimus comes to earth and bitchslaps Bumblebee for a bit and that king Arthur is important.

If you mean the 2007 autobots, most likely on another planet or maybe a ship awaiting for Bee to contact them

 

So another ship we didn't know about. Man Bay is really testing my patience with the stories. I love the robots and all, but personally using seekers instead of Autobtos from TF1-TF4 would have worked waaay better.

Or at least just use Bumblebee, and keep the continuity we've been given.

Its likely they did used to have another ship. again we dont know if the Ironhide pic is in the film, (we have no proof that either Ratchet or Jazz were even here) and we know Optimus can fly in his knight form, so its not impossible for Optimus to come to earth, then leave earth flying like he did in AOE.

When Bee sent up his signle for them to come down from Space, they came really quickly so they had to be in their Proto-Comet forms above Earth waiting. There is just no way they could have even gotten from the Moon or Mars that fast. The problem I now have with this is, they are setting up the history that these TFs have been on earth for a long time. So why would they leave Earth to then get Bee's message to come down and do that very thing? This whole new history they seem to be going with just completely messes things up even more. Like it's been said, they should have just stuck with Bee and maybe HotRod being the only 2 Autobot Scouts on Earth and HotRod was tasked to stay with Hopkins' character and watch over Vivian like he has been doing. At least he would have a good reason on why he's payed low.


But now they imply that Drift, Hound, Cross and others have been here just as long and where the hell were they when all the crap hit the fan in movies 1-3? Just over all, I don't see even this next movie fixing much and leaving us with more holes that even Devistator couldn't fill.

 

So I take it the planet isn't Cybertron then? Why would they protect Earth for all these years from their home planet? It's got to be Quintessa or failing that, Unicron. As for the plot holes that seem to be popping up, the G1 universe was full of them. Can't speak for other iterations but I'm going to treat this movie on its own merits rather than how it fits in with the earlier films. Hopefully Bay will finally come good and give us a film worthy of the franchise...(crosses fingers)

 

That bot looks a lot like Soundwave from DOTM to me. We don't know for sure that he's fighting Nazis, as we see American soldiers assaulting the Nazi HQ in the previous clip.

 

The car transforming in front of the \"Nazi building\" is what looks to be the Citroen that Hot Rod was said to be. Same \'breakdance\' transformation, too. 

 

He's an Autobot that's carrying all the plots from the movies.
