I think we're looking into this too much. It's not Megatron just a reuse of the design. I will admit that it's getting a bit ridiculous though. They have been in every event in history?? I hope there's a proper explanation for this

Their protoform mode is when they ditch all of their exo-structure. Basically they ditched the parts of their Cybertronian form and went back to their "basic" form

 

The reason all the painting have promo art in them and you see TLK Megs and Shockwave and modern day looking Autobots in paintings is because it's all gag stuff. It's just bays messed up personality. As a joke let's fill the room with all this stuff that could obviously never have happened and see how many people spot this stuff. You see Bee in WWII as a real WWII vehicle yet in a WWII painting he looks like a modern Camaro lol. It's all a gag and will proabaly even be shown in the behind the scenes stuff when it comes out on Blu Ray. Take all of that with a massive grain of salt guys.

I think some of the pics and statues in the trailer is meant to give us more or less an idea of Transformers being around the whole time and that we shouldn't take some of them literally especially since most of it doesn't make sense if it was trying to be.

Neat trailer. I enjoyed the Nazi fight scene, it should be awesome.

That said, I think that room was just a prop and people are reading more into it than they should. I doubt there will actually be a bust of Megatron, or Sentinel's pillars, in the actual film.

But this Witwiccan Order angle is going to need some serious explanation for sure.

He shipped a terrible looking movie with a fuckton of bad CGI and CGI errors last time why would you possibly think that he would put 3 second of effort into this?

You know what...this might be it maybe a lot of this stuff is prophetic. It's either the multiverse is collapsing Because of those pillars and all kinds of crazy struggle is happening or these are all images (the paintings) that maybe merlin produced back when that shield from the imax poster was made....maybe it's linked.
