Lynsa, and Rubiplas Huffers. I believe i just need a peach Lynsa to finish off all the yellow belly Huffers. But who knows, I never heard of the two different Rubiplas yellow plastic variant until I got them both in hand. One is almost neon, and the other is almost identical to the shade Lynsa uses. The two on the left are Lynsa, and the othet two red ones on the right are Rubiplas. The Rubiplas are distinguished from the Lynsa with slightly lighter shade of red, factory applied stickers, and even more simplified hubs.

All these Pre Rub minis are graded an 85 except for Cliffjumper. All of these were bought at the same store on the same day by the same person except for Bumblejumper

Couple of things I was wondering.

    1) Is the common-miss-transformation of Brawn and Outback on purpose to minimise risk of breakage & chrome rub ?
    2) What's the story with the Overscale Minibots (like that one used for Dairycon)

Is there more info on them anywhere ? I'd be really interested to know more about the source of that mould - how old it is - and if it's still in use today.

    ***

P.S. : I've seen the KO red Beachcomber on EBay and the white Bumblebee with the new head (Bugbyte) on a Bumblebee like card. but what else is there in the way of recent KOs.

I've long hoped that the Ko makers would do the like of G2 deco's for the ones who never had them or Black repaints for the ones who never had them - as well as the simple colour swapping - like a Green Bumblebee (I don't recall ever seeing one so far) or an Orange Cliffjumper and so on.

I'm not bothered by them being KO's (even on G1 style cards) as being nutty colours makes that pretty obvious - but I think there is a market for what ever mould they have in whatever colours occure to them.

I can't speak for anyone else but I'd really enjoy a G2 style Powerglide - perhaps in chrome silver or chrome dark blue. Heck if the KO makers were ever to get around to chroming them - the normal colours but chromed would be pretty interesting too - (like G2 Seaspray was) or a Blue chromed Beachcomber -

There is also the obvious idea of Electrum plating or hate plaque (chrome silver) decos on everything too. - I'm certain there is a market for made repaints - I wonder if the testing the waters they have done so far were not sucessful enough ?

They have KO'd almost all the original minibots mostly in the same colors or just a shade off from the same colors. Besides the red beachcomber, and white bumblebee they have black, red, and blue KO's of bumblebee. There are black chase keychain figures in bumblebee, brawn, cliffjumper, and windcharger molds. There is actually an orangeish cliffjumper made by Rubiplas, but he is considered peach in color. There are other multiple keychain versions that are slightly off the G1 color scheme, and there is also outback KO's with brawns face and vice versa. The best redecos in my opinion are the E-hobby Minibots.

That peach Cliffjumper is actually a Lynsa. Rubiplas only made red CJs as far as I know. The peach tends to turn orangish when they fade, so if you see an orangish one, it's probably faded.

    Here's mine

He's not. He's not the droid you're looking for. He can go about his business. Move along.

Wow, Just Wow, haven't been here for a while, some EPIC minibots on display. Turboguys display cabinet should have an admission fee, it's like a museum lol, anyway, I went up to my loft yesterday and got these down for a photo for old time sake :)
