I'm certain I've seen a poll where the bulk of MP collectors are late 30s/early 40s but I could be making it up. It's the age range of those around at the boom at least where most of the releases are from.

Also having kids at mid 40s? Fuck that. Mine will have moved out by then.

Easily the best figure I've handled in a couple years, the 3p ones don't come close. There's a crazy amount of engineering that went into it, and the transformation is nothing less than genius.

I think so. I remember when I bought Apollyon and at the time there was nothing that truly resembled a MP Megs. When I bought it for 150, I was like, meh, the hips suck, I'm never going to transform him but he's a good looking statue. Now Apollyon can be had for 90 bucks or less if you watch sell boards.

When I look at MP 36, I'm like wow, Apollyon looks like junk compared to him and I don't miss my money so to speak or want to resell him. I can afford to pay for him and so I did. What will make me mad is if the KO's are able to replicate him for less.

In the end I respect the right of a company to make money and they delivered on quality and so I was willing to pay for that. Plus I paid 230 dollars because I am impatient and was unwilling to wait. I'm sure deals could be had if one was patient.

He's the first Masterpiece Figure I ssw and thought "I am going to get that no matter the cost"

In hand, he's a beast. It just looks the part of Megatron, and while people worry that the toon model in toy form wi undermine the badassery of Megatron, I can say that he is certainly a prize to behold.

I say no, that's absurd 3rd party pricing territory.

I paid less than that for mine and it was worth it to me. I like it as much or more than figures I paid at least that much for (more in some cases). Of course, my value scale had been blown to smithereens since I started collecting about 17 years ago.

Do you want opinions on owners only or on having it on hand and examined and compared it?

I think it's pretty well priced. Of course I would have gone up to $999 for this but you have to draw the line somewhere. Anything over $999 and I would have to seriously consider it. I'm in no position to talk though as I've ordered three and haven't received a single one :D .

240$ IS a lot of money. Even if you pay him 200$, that's still a bit crazy.
And that's where I think the point is. I have 5 Brainstorm, 3 Hardhead, so much toys for such a tiny place that my Black Shadow is actualy alone in the kitchen. I'm surrounded by tons fo comic books, video game soundtracks vinyles, anime BR, Undertale plushes, I must have all Carl Barks stories in 5 different edtions, something like 2000 records, and books, many many books. Heck even Public Enemy action figures.
I gave up being rational a long time ago about things I love.
What matter is if I feel something in the range of this absurd love with the figure/toy, and if getting it does not require too much sacrifice (if I can't eat at the end of the month or if I can't give some money to my brother if he need some, then definitly this purchase wasn't worth it).

200$ is still a lot of money, probably too much, but I could afford it and since then I enjoy it so much that I feel I had my money back, in some non-describable way.

I voted no, but that doesn't mean that he's bad. I actually like him a lot and have no regrets about buying him. However, at this price point there should have been no scuffing or chipping issues.

An absolute NO, a piece like this with all their quality issues and esthetic design is far away from being worthy.
