So, I don't know if this is the case for everyone, but if I'm listening w/ the built in player, and pause the podcast, there's no audio when I push play again.

 

Can confirm, had the same issue with the last podcast. Might be something to do with how it loads and buffers the audio, because even if you reload and jump ahead in-browser, still silence, so had to remember the timestamps and download and play the rest when I got home.

 

I believe it was confirmed Frank Welker was involved in this series of RID.

 

Just a point of clarification. Valvatron isn't the first TF with branding since Aveo Swerve.

I always thought the mini-cons attatched to the Armada leaders were switched around in production. It always seemed obvious to me that Optimus Prime's mini-con should have been Leader-1.
It even works as a Go-Bots reference. The mini-con that came with bendy Prime was a grey jet with yellow optics. It just seemed so obvious that he was supposed to be a modern Leader-1 to pair with what was essentially an update of the G1 Optimus Prime design.

 

Nope nope nope nope nopedy nope. I DO NOT want a non-transforming transformer. They may stay in bot mode for 70% of their lif by virtue of the sheer number that I own, but the engineering and puzzle play is one of my absolute favorite aspects of this franchise. It's the reason I preferred TF to power rangers megazords as a kid, cause zords, while they technically convert... don't do a whole lot even compared to armada figures.

 

I don't want a non-transforming bot, but I would love an MP class version of CW Megatron because a gun is a dumb alt mode. I thought so when I was 8 in 1984 and I think so now. Just really have zero nostalgia for the G1 megs toy. I had one, back then, and it was terrible. In fact, my favorite use for it was as a gun when playing cops and robbers. The robot mode was atrocious.

Your Earth Wars discussion sort of underscores why I barely play that game. I want a Transformers mobile game in the vein of Fire Emblem Heroes. We had that awesome turn based game in the early days of mobile gaming. Something like that where I unlock characters at my own pace and don't need to join a huge alliance to accomplish the goals of the events would be nice. Forged to Fight seems entirely too focused on Bayformers, so I uninstalled that.

 

Speaking about distribution. I cannot find a titans return voyager prime at any store within 50 miles. Now broadside clogs the shelf. At least theres online venues now its time to give up on the hunt

FWIW in regards to Frank Welker, Nickelodeon paid him to voice a dog on Bubble Guppies, YES, only puppy noises, so what does it say if Hasbro possibly doesn't want to use him as much as possible.

 

No hopes up, but it looks like some old Decepticons from season 1 are coming back for season 3. Hey Takara if you end up doing a warrior Clampdown, Springload, and Underbite that'd be a pleasant surprise. I will keep my hopes up for a combiner wars reshell though, that seems like their type of crazy.

I wonder if the podcast crew is overestimated the number of fans that don't transform their toys. Maybe it's because I don't collect the full Masterpiece line (I have some figures here and there) and therefor don't see a ton of the community discussion about them but to me I don't hear much from a group of fans that only keep their figures in robot mode.

I've actually started displaying the vast majority of my collection in alt mode. It takes up more room but it's kind of fun to have all the vehicles and animals on display and then when a buddy points one out I can take it off the shelf and show how it works. I've also found that it encourages me to fiddle more.

 

I think Rescue Bots characters appearing in Robots in Disguise is more possible now, considering Rescue Bots isn't coming back for another season.

 

I'd expect one repaint of MP Megatron. It'd be nice if the black helmet was available, just a pack in with something else.
If finances ever aligned just right, I'll probably break and get a Destruction Scorpion. I love their Apollo. I'm on board with Spreem lovin' and long to see Apollo in those colors. Even a digibash would be nice sigh...

 

Nothing unusual about being payed for animal noises in this business. It would be unusual if someone wasn't payed for that. And it is confirmed that Frank is playing Soundwave.
