Hungry Howie's usually makes my pizza unburnt, so I appreciate that over Dominos. Was gonna pick Little Ceasars for my second pick, but then remembered Cicis pizza chain has a pizza buffet bar. Like in, all-you-can-eat pizza. <3
Pizza Hutt. There is one by my house, and in Canada, Pizza Hutt is better than Dominos and Little Ceasers.
Donatos and Hungry Howie's are not nationwide. I've only ever seen one Hungry Howie's and it went out of business. I've never even heard of Donatos and I've lived in MT, OR, IA, ND, MD, DC, VA, and GA. I like a local chain in GA called Mellow Mushroom and in DC I enjoyed Pizzeria Uno's. Neither is consistent from location to location, but generally they are pretty good. Little Caesar's is okay fresh, especially for the price.
I prefer local pizzerias rather than the national chains. In my neighborhood, I have 2 good local pizza places (Pizzicato and Wood Fired Pizza). Both of them fit Portland metro's culture of being slightly weird. Reading the list of toppings would sound very odd but most of the time, they ended up tasting good. In terms of national chains, I despise Little Caesar's and will not touch them with a 40 foot pole. On multiple occasions, I have received food poisoning from them. I usually go for Papa Murphy's, Dominos or Godfather pizza since all 3 of them are within a mile from me.
For chains, I voted Little Caesar's and Pizza Hut. Little Caesar's has the square deep dish with the cooked cheese edge reminiscent of Detroit style pizza, which is great, and they are inexpensive. Pizza Hut uses good sized vegetables that retain some crispness even after cooking, which I appreciate.
Always been a Dominos kid. However, there's a place in St. Louis, MO- called PI- there's multiple locations, but the one I always go to is located on the Delmar Loop- and it's some of the best pizza I've ever had.
