Hopefully Megs is about to kill all the annoying human characters and we'll have a nice "human-less" rest of the movie........... hey, I can dream cant I?
I'm not sure that it's the last fight, as prime still has purple eyes in that scene. If I had to say, I'd say that them teaming up, as I think they do, will be the final scene.
I actually think I almost would. The movies have something very intriguing regarding optimus and Megatron's stories, which has led me to this belief of mine. Now I want to summarize a story for a moment and ask a single question after. On a metallic world called Cybertron a lone Cybertronian is mentored by a member of an ancient dynasty who is inspired into forming a faction to lead to his people against another cybertronian mentored by another being of the same dynasty their war ravages the planet and they race to Earth to find an artifact that could save their home. They clash with their enemy on Earth which eventually leads to this Cybertronian leader dying. His allies embark on a series of missions around the world to revive him, after this the leader heads to space where they find their mentor. The leader ultimately ends up losing their mentor due to their opposing rival, after this the leader is gravely injured and forced into hiding on the run as a fugitive. Broken and tired the leader eventually begins to forget their driving motivation until they are reminded of it by a human. Now comes my question am I talking about Optimus or Megatron? Optimus and Megatron minus some differences have gone through the same story. Megatron's story across the first three is optimus's story across 2-4 with differences that suit each character. TLK is continuing this regarding their story from the looks of it. TLK is clearly a culmination of the franchise it would be fitting to have Megatron and optimus's similar paths culminate with this battle between them, where they both come full circle from where their journey began, though them teaming up does support their mirrored arcs as well.
This just looks like a weapons test or something like that to me. But seriously I don't want Megatron to work for TRF! They did that shit with Galvatron and KSI and that was enough!
Haven't read any of this thread, but the size ratio shown here makes it look like Megatron should be about 60-75 ft tall.
He's much closer to the camera than those cars. Since Lennox seems kinda close to Megatron, I scaled him up a tiny bit and (if Lennox is 6 feet tall) Megatron is around 30-35 feet tall I think.
I wasn't going by the cars, I was going by Lennox. But after creating a scale comparison, it looks like Megatron is more or less exactly 7 Lennoxes tall. If Lennox is 6'4", then Megatron comes in at 37' tall. So yeah... I was way off.
This is brilliant if you ask me...Megatron was even foreshadowing stuff with his question "Who would you be without me,Prime".He eventually became what Megatron was in AOE and now he kinda becomes what Galvatron was but instead of being rebuilt by humans he gets reprogrammed by Quintessa.And now that they came full circle they might take a step back after this movie wich make me question if there are gonna be many more sequels or just prequels and spin-off stories.But this is wonderful...probably one of the best stories ever!
there are 2 spin offs/ prequels that we know. bb movie and the sybertron movie. i think tf6 is confirmed to be a sequel to TLK. now i do think that we will see more sequels down the road. afterall TLK is the beginning of the cinematic universe. i think that they will slowly build up around unicron eventually and his movies might be the climax of the cinematic universe but that might be years away,if they want him to be planet sized and wait for the technology to be on point. so i would expect atleast 3 more sequels till we get to the possible unicron trilogie.
I'm curious to know how Megatron got his new body, if he's an upgraded/reborn from AOE's Galvatron, or if they're both completely separate characters now, and maybe they'll team up against the Autobots in future movies. I haven't discovered any info on where Galvatron went, how this new Megatron came to be, and I'm foaming at the mouth for info dude- I really wanna know...
the generel thought is that he finds lockdown's ship and the knights within and he somehow "transforms" back to megs via a knight body. maybe by touching a knight's weapon like optimus did in AOE.
However there is the option that they simply rebuilt megatron using his head, in an effort to bring all the transformers running amok under control and what we see in the new screen cap is them programming him...we may have both galvatron and megatron in the movies to come yet! After all the consensus from the fandom was that everyone wants to ditch the wireframe transformation process of transformium.....to make it fit with everything, this way is about the only way I can think of it happening within movie canon. Unless something overwritten the cube method
Maybe it's just an elaborate parole hearing: the humans allow Megatron to rule over a section of the land, and give him a monthly review to see if he's behaving himself. I really want to see how they explain Megatron returning after the rise of Galvatron, but I just assume Bay will not give us any of that info, and we'll just assume somehow Galvatron/Megatron just re-purposed himself after his seed tirade and all. Of course, if Megatron actually stepped on and crushed a fleshling, it might make his position much better in this film.
Yeah I agree, that's well summarised. But I still don't believe that's where the focus is with the movies. I wish I could watch these movies through your eyes once!
Perhaps, still it does fit, as many scenes show. Optimus being brought back to Nest base dangling from cables, Megatron being dropped into the ocean while dangling from cables. Megatron meeting with the Fallen on the Nemesis showing sorrow over his failure to retrieve the Allspark, optimus talking with Sentinel showing regret over his failure to win the war. Megatron reacting in horror at the fallen's death; optimus reacting in horror at Sentinel's betrayal. Megatron slouching on a wall before Carly talks to him; Optimus slouched against a wall before Cade talks to him. I didn't discover this or really anything I state my first time through it took many rewatches. Originally I didn't realize that Megatron's question to Optimus was explored who is he without him, he's the same as Megatron. Hunted by humans, seeking revenge and no longer having the same values; without Megatron he has no threat to protect humanity from. Galvatron's small physical role makes sense we're seeing who optimus is without Megatron and it isn't pretty, for this to work Galvatron needs minimum presence to show how optimus becomes the enemy without him and only through him does he become the hero again. Megatron's quick death in Dark really bothered me at first but now it doesn't. Dark wasn't about optimus and Megatron the conflict was between optimus and Sentinel. We didn't build to an optimus and Megatron fight, a long brawl between them after climaxing the main conflict would feel tact on, it doesn't actually fit DOTM. Megatron dying quickly also fits the meaning of his arc he was weak and needed to swallow his pride but couldn't and for his foolishness he dies. It took a long time for me to accept this but ultimately I did. This took time and it required looking beyond a lot of my personal preferences but over time and multiple rewatches and analysis I managed to discovered all this.
Megatron working with humans now? Please no. I'm tired of seeing a subservient Megatron. Is it too much to ask for a movie with Megatron being the baddest SOB in the universe and Prime doing everything he can to stop him? More please!
