You're really pushing it on your expectations man, I truly believe you're setting yourself up for disappointment. 2 waves? I'd be surprised if we even see 2 figures.

 

Have to be ready for either excitement or disappointment.

 

Like I said as well as numerous others it's not all about toys it's a promotional event. The possible toys are like mabey 15%. Of the entire thing. So hoping for two more waves is unrealistic. Here's what I see

Mabey 1 or 2 premier editions yet unseen if that.

Official reveal of mission to Cybertron ( could possibly be saving this one idk sense we know it's a confirmed thing ) I seriously believe it will be July before it's even out

Site and mobile app updates ( already confirmed )

Mabey something movie related a special trailer, spot, or announcement.

Maybe some Cool movie related surprises who knows but not an announcement of more waves. That is useally reserved for events were they have panels.

 

the only reveal i'd like to see is the MPM Barricade

 

Super hyped for Barricade, but for me, Prime > Barricade. I just want to smash that pre-order button for three when they're made available.

 

Tommorow is mpm Barricade, and Friday is a new trailer. That's all I'm asking.

Edit: Somehow I forgot about mpm Optimus! I seriously doubt that they'll reveal that figure so soon, but a small tease would be really cool.

What? You joined today just you you can go around different threads and give out three-word complaints? I've seen you in 3 or 4 different threads now doing that. Care to explain why "rodimas too ugly"?

 

Hot Rod looks like Bumblebee. There's no clear identifiable features or color associated with Hot Rod.
Why didn't they just made this "character" Cliffjumper?

It's not a language. It's called greeking. It's just random letters/words used for packaging mock-ups.

 

Same was said for Stinger from AOE.
Always thought Mirage evoked a little Hot Rod with the door wings as the spoiler and the arm blades in place of the exhausts. Then again I was hoping Stinger was Hot Rod but after seeing more and more, like others I quite like the look of this version we have now.

 

But why ? There's no visual ques that ties with that character. I mean i get it's a movie design, but i dont see how this design is any better than Stinger or Dino from the previous movie in comparison with Hot Rod.
The fact that you mistook or thought they were closer to Hot Rod in design than this guy just reinforces that.
Just saying, if it's just a name slap then they could have went with Cliffjumper.

Just because he doesn't look like Hot Rod, doesn't mean he won't act like Hot Rod.

 

If they're planning on making Hot Rod into a future leader somehow if not a Prime it'll make more sense if the design was him as opposed to Cliffjumper. Besides the visual design doesn't really evoke Cliffjumper either so people would still complain even if they went with that.

 

Hmm, your right. My assessment was based of the art for the two figures. The visual aspect of the character doesn't share any similarities with Hot Rod but more inline with CJ, IMO.

But i agree, I dont know how he's gonna act in the movie. Will the character have any similarities with Hot Rod in a character sense or in personality. No clue.
He might be an authentic Hot Rod or just a BB clone with a French accent. I'll just have to re-access that after i watch the movie.
