I'm quite fond of the deluxe. But it was released as part of Takara's AOE line 2 years after the fact and is a repaint. THis may have been the most appropriate mold they could repaint from, but it's a massively delayed repaint.

Early release listings appeared to include Dino, but he was replaced with a repaint of someone else. We've never seen the toys (leaked) but there almost certainly were original Ferrari molds created they were unable to use for at least the deluxe and possibly a HA as well (it was otherwise very odd that the first wave consisted entirely of unused repaints).

On the plus side, there is an amazing 3P incoming at some point. It's based off of an abolsutely jaw dropping custom that a company decided to mass produce. We're still waiting for more news.

That's not how I remember it. At botcon that year Hasbro said that Ferrari was OK with it but Hasbro didn't want to do it.

If Western Star is the licensing, then they shouldn't have any problem because they already have Optimus Prime who is Western Star. It's just they matter of if they decide to make one or not.

Hold out hope man onslaught is a popular name in Transformers. And the fact that a background con like nitro got a figure makes me think other background characters have at least a shot.

I'm not saying this will happen but Hasbro sometimes will reveal one thing but also hide others in the background. So just pick apart any photo that's not an official stock image and who knows we might be surprised.

Dino, correct? Here it is. It started as a custom, but the design was given/sold/something to a 3rd party company to mass produce.

Right now, I'm happy with the AOE movie one I've got.

 

Yeah, I'm excited to see how the Dino project turns out.

I'll believe there will be an actual new mold hot rod when I see one.

I'd like for it to happen, but my hopes aren't high. It may just be a straight repaint, or a remold, and if it is a new mold, it may not be very good.

I mean, if they're only releasing it as a two pack, that could be a bad sign, or it could be a good one (leadfoot comes to mind). Who knows, it could just be a bad repaint of barricade.

I hope it looks really good like the new bumblebee.. if it does look that good, and they're in a two pack together, I'm sold.

 

Well, tomorrow is the day. I just know if I will expect something when I wake up or when I come back home from work.

 

Expect something when you get back from work but don't expect something mind blowing. Remember Hasbro has the general public in mind, to hasbro, something like "Nitro" is completely new, unknown to the general public. We know otherwise but as fans, we are not the general public.

In addition, through years of seeing how Hasbro works, they believe their own hype more than we ever will.

Tomorrow if we see anything beyond a napkin, legion figure or One-step changer I will be very surprised.
