We all have one. We opened the box, we fiddled with it, and we loved it--but there's one little thing that keeps it from being an all time favorite.

This can be subjective. For example, I love Azaela--but her face sculpt is just off. It doesn't seem G1, it doesn't look IDW.

What would you change to make a good figure great?

 

Wished Maketoys Downbeat's roof stripes matched his rear fender stripes in Alt mode.

 

Just strip the face and paint it silver or leave it off-white after the paint stripping.

Paint her eyes yellow and give her blue lipstick, like I did.

Alternatively, you can you buy *asterisk Azalea and swap heads.

Or pray to @Venksta to make something for us  

 

FT kickbacks arm situation.

 

Despotron's head. Plus his lack of an add-on set, but that's more than one thing.

 

DX Rodimus and those damn huge ass spoiler wings. Still love the fig.

 

XTransbot Andras' foot transformation.

 

Badcubes Wardog transformation and size. I don't care its size that much but transformation could be easier.

 

Yeah, gotta second that. The funky headsculpt is all that's keeping me from picking him up, maybe the Takara version will inspire them to do an anime head version or some shit? Honestly, the same thing goes for Rioter too, loving except that bland-ass face.

 

MMCs Terragis knees and leg tollerances going back to truck mode.

FTs Kickbacks arms are a big one too.

 

Yep, this. Say what you will about Mightron and MP-36, but their headsculpts are damn fine. I'm almost tempted to get Mightron, if only to swap heads.
And, while I see what MT was going for with Rioter, it really just does not work in execution. It needed to lean harder in some direction. I'd have loved a more angular and Movie-ish helmet, for example. And the face sculpt looks... "off".

 

The FT bugs are allmost perfect for me but i would like to see that they came with some evil smiling faces like B&B linked sometime with a picture on the FT thread for him

 

Maketoys Ironwill, except for the arms just kind of dividing in half when they bend at the elbow-just makes his arms look weak which takes away from the hefty strong look of the figure. People complain about his chest panel popping up but that doesn't seem like much an issue with my copy.

I would have loved to get Sencho Barbossa if his face wasn't so wrong.

 

Mania King not having wrist swivels to fix the gorilla arm issue he has.

 

Oh boi i remember now the mania king, it was my first 3P fig, i was happy with him. I'm sure it would be better with wrist swivels.

 

It would be cool if Mania King was taller to scale with MPP-10V.

 

It's not the colors the really drive me nuts (they distract me a little), it's the expression. I want a face with some lines, and a scowl. I don't trust my hands to paint detail like that.

I don't even transform them the correct way anymore. I just wiggle the shoulder and the purple cone thing until it looks halfway convincing, then I leave it loose.
