Haha. That is a dangerous question. Pretty soon it will lead to "What about Krennic? Who is going to command the Deathtroopers and the rest of the Garrison?" and "Don't you need some Rebel scum for your troops to battle?" or "K2SO needs some companions to backhand and listen to his snarky comments." I learned my lesson during the Prequels when I splurged on tons of figures I later regret buying. But since Rogue One has left a really strong impression on me I decided I at least needed one of every unique Trooper. Space and my wallet dictate no army building or unnecessary doubles. In my Black Series collection so far I've mainly kept to Sith Lords and armored characters, but never say never.
Haha, all good and smart moves! Every one of your examples...I already fell for. But I've been a bitch to Star Wars since I was about 4 so they already own my ass. Pathetic, I know. But yeah, my main focus is also Sith Lords and armored characters (see the recent pic I posted of my SW shelf) because who really cares about an action figure of some regular person in a jacket or robe right? I ended up buying a couple of those anyway and now I want a few more but they are really just side attractions.
Some of the SW toys/action figures at SW Celebration: Luke's landspeeder can be seen at about 8:10 -- it clearly has two seats, though it does look a little snug...
So this Disney Elite 6" figures with DIE cast. I'm not so sure I'm a fan of them much anymore. At least with the Death Trooper. Poseability is not as good as the Black Series figures, and it seems the only good joints on the legs is the right knee and hips Because of his "trick left knee," this sucker keeps wanting to take a dive after less than a day of me standing him on the stand it came with. It's getting quite annoying since I can't even pose him to where he would not take a dive.
The Elite series figures should be selected with Extreme Prejudice. If you get certain ones, they are great additions to your 1/12 SW collection. Droids are excellent partly because they fit being diecast and less articulated. Astromech Droids scale better, BB-8 is great. Grevious, Flametrooper all work out very well (the General is a bit of a floppy mess but it looks the part). I passed on the Death Trooper because it looks like crap and I feel those need the articulation so my Specialists will be Bandai Kits. The rest will be filled in with SHF and BS versions. KS02 is also great in Elite form. Definitely be much more selective with the line and you will be happy.
Yeah the 1/12 Death Trooper stands tall and proud to this day. The 6".....it's like he's getting shot by an invisible Rebel hiding in my house somewhere. So he just keels over on a whim.
Serious or kidding? Because I already preordered at BBTS and HTS but have a feeling they will be on clearance at some point. Just don't want to risk missing out but also don't want to regret paying full price and more only to see them clogging shelves at discount.
Half and half coz you know how Walmart likes to troop build And then because of that, they rarely get anything new these days And if they do, it'll probably be one case like TRU did.
Lol yeah. Tell me about it. 25 cross eyed and slack jawed Cassians and nothing else is a tough way to build a collection.
I hope Hasbro hasn't actually made these yet. They need to make them properly scaled. Way too small. They don't follow the set design schematics.
Are there any other pictures? It looks like it might be the perspective of Luke being closer, but it's hard to tell.
Yea Hasbro made enough room for Luke to kidnap a swamprat or Jawa, they will probably say something like "WELL ACCORDING TO RALPH MCQUARRIE'S LONG LOST NAPKIN SKETCH WHILE HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH GEORGE LUCAS... OUR LANDSPEEDER ACCURATELY DEPICTS THE ACTUAL LANDSPEEDER TO SCALE, IN FACT THIS CAN BE SEEN IN THE CORNER OF A BLURRED OUT SHOT IN THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY THEATRICAL VERSION OF A NEW HOPE BUT BUT...THE ORIGINAL FILM REELS ARE LOST FOREVER BUT REST ASSURED THIS IS INDEED ACCURATE AND PLEASE BUY THE 40TH TITANIUMS AND 6" UNLEASHED STYLE FIGURES SO THAT OUR MARKETING TEAM CAN USE THAT SALES DATA TO JUSTIFY BRINGING BACK THE 3.75 VINTAGE COLLECTION BUT IN REALITY WE KNOW YOU WON'T BUY THOSE TOYS THUS WE ARE USING THAT AS AN EXCUSE TO NEVER BRING BACK THE VINTAGE COLLECTION AND BLAMING ALL OF YOU GUYS FOR IT AND YOU WILL LOVE THOSE NERF GUNS LOVE THEM Yea those didn't get reviews, the larger 11"-12" Elite premium line however got great reviews.... ...just months before the only Disney store closed in my area...
Well I looked at the dri er controls on the set photos vs the toy pics. In set photos they are in line with the top of the windscreen. In the toy photos they're tucked way in up under the windscreen. Also where his foot is- that chrome grille comes farther back on the toy than the film version. It all seems to translate to a semi accurate cockpit shoehorned into a 20% reduced scale vehicle body. However, I am open to being proven wrong. If some straight on side pics of the toy come along and do just that, I'm going to be the first to point out my flawed perception
I think the Disney store in my area is a bit of a drive, so I just ordered mine online. Anyone want a 6" Deathtrooper loose? $20 + shipping!
R5-D4 in store search has been removed form GameStops website, guess they got to many calls yesterday.
