The hole on Lorry's chest? ....where the orange sticks out?
If that's what you mean, then it's perfect actually....100% screen accurate, and I'm super surprised Badcube went to the lengths to recreate that minor detail.

It gets fixed by transforming into bot mode and placing permanently on your shelf

On Lorry, the cab actually collapses further into down into the hood and will completely eliminate the gap.

Is that the lighter blue one?
I'm pretty sure I have one since I own both Hoist and Trailbreaker and I don't plan to use it :) [/QUOTE]

Wanted to say thanks to Robert for selling me his Sphinx battlemasks. They arrived today.

Is the hood and undercarriage in the front of the Artifex vehicle not tabbing in perfectly a thing with this mold? That is how it came in the box and I couldn't seem to get it plugged in nice. I have since transformed him into robot mode and he might not be back in vehicle mode anytime soon. Other than that mine was solid and I am happy with my new Hoist.

Had to swap out for the toon head even though I am not a ultra "toon accurate guy." The grey head was the perfect touch.

Pretty much everything not tabbing in perfectly (or at all) is a thing with this mold. It's actually way more of a thing with Artifex than Terraegis, due to some incredibly bad design with the remolded parts.

I was transforming mine into truck mode a few minutes ago, and the backpack hinge that holds the wings decided to randomly break. I'm assuming this is a byproduct of the fact that absolutely nothing on the back of that thing fits together correctly at all, due to a mix of bad design and poor manufacturing. Specifically, the roof hinge is raised up far enough to put significant amounts of pressure on that joint, which is something I'd never noticed before (and why would I? How could I have known that the manufacturing and design makes that a weak spot?)

Anyway, it's not fixable, so the figure is a complete loss. I kind of can't believe something this terrible came out of MMC, especially given the high quality of their Reformatted line. At the least, I'm not buying Ocular Max ever again.

Ah yes, this reminds me about the wings. One of them feels like it has poor tolerance to the point I am scared of making it break when putting it into position, so that is another gripe about mine... Sorry to hear yours has broken. :(

My best fix for too small tabs is to add some 2-part epoxy to the place you want bigger. [You need to do heavy scoring to the area you want to attach the epoxy to, and the epoxy goes on with a fair amount of surface tension, so you'll have to over apply, or apply in coats (scoring between coats), and file it to shape after.]

This might not work well if the fit between the peg and the hole is already fairly tight (but not tight enough for some reason) and the epoxy attach surface is fairly small - the epoxy in this situation might not be strong enough to resist shearing forces. However, I have fixed this basic issue on a few of my tfs with this 2 part epoxy method. I do not have the toy you have so I cannot comment on the appropriate fix for that.

To heck with the pretentious screwdriver head names. I like the good ol' star, slot, square, etc. Very easy to remember.

Yeah, I really hate that shit. I called phillips and the minus head "+ and -" in a home depot when I was a kid and got laughed out of that place.

I broke my gun today due to carelessness. Is it possible to order and buy spare guns? I emailed [email protected] one time before asking for parts for another figure, but they didn't respond. I just hope they can help me replace my Artifex guns. Are there other ways to contact them to order parts? I don't want to make a warranty claim. I want to make sure I buy them and let them know I show support for their products. Thanks in advance.

Make an account just to say this.
This figures is a mess. Both elbows loose, the left ankle loose, can't hold a pose. The whole thing feels cheap, except it cost like $90.
Have no ideas how MMC of all people was the one who making this figure. Also the back pack tab when transform to alt mode is a pain to do too.

I'm late to the game I suppose but if anyone who bought Artifex would like to trade me their light blue "Sphinx-A" head for the dark blue Sphinx head that came with Terraegis, PM me!

I didn't much like Terrageis, I have to say. Having Artifex now, I really like it so far. The robot is super dynamic for posing and I don't have the issues with gaps in the knee halves and shin panels like I did with Terra. I do have a case of one rear wheel not tabbing onto the main chassis in vehicle mode, but I'm not driving the thing around the floor and it does stay in place when on display.

I've not gone back to car mode yet, I just want to enjoy this feeling of a figure I am completely happy with for a while longer in robot mode before attempting that.

I like mine too. But I caved and picked xtb paean the other day during an eBay flash sale. I'll have to see what they feel like in hand before I swap out this guy. I originally didn't like the silver on xtb, we'll see what he loooks like in hand.

Nice shots by the way Maz!

Transformation was pretty easy going, I took my time remembering all the problem spots from Terraegis. I swear this just feels better top to bottom. The hood doesn't sit flush but I saw that straight out of the box. I think, all things considered, this is my favourite OCX figure since Sphinx and Jaguar.

Now to play with some accessories!
