I paid $108 to ship my box a few days ago, it just arrived today 3 days total transit. EMS shipping is great.
planning on snagging the old HG 1/100 scale Gundam Maxter, whoever came up with the design (i know Kunio Okawara-sensei) must have been forced to drink while playing darts on a board with anything AMERICUH!!! written on it & see what hits, - gun slinging cowboy? check! - football player? check! - surfer? check! - a boxer? check! - a hot blooded pilot who suffers from PTSD of terrorist clowns (not to be confused with the Joker), surrounded by hot ladies who are also both his childhood friends & ground crew? check! hell the Gundam is so oozing with AMERICUH!!! it makes Captain America look less patriotic.
Nothing Gunpla related to say happening right now, except "Operation: Jumping Onto White Base" (the name of my house on the homestead, because of its white siding) and I'm in the middle of completing the renovations. The so far for the hobby is: My Perfect Grades have been wrapped up in storage for almost two years since I started this, so I cracked open the box to make sure everything inside was fine. I relocated the backlog down there, save for the kits I've had open and partially worked on. This is just a temporary shelf in what will become the "Farm Office" while I have a metal wire rack shelf to use in the real workshop room. Remember, this is just HALF of it. That little box on the top shelf is where "Gundam PINZGAUER" has been hiding. and finally, I picked up a poster frame for my Gundam F91 theatrical poster (JoshB of CollectionDX gave me years ago). The fold damage was there because Josh got it after the 2004 premiere.
Just realized that the poster is the US version. No wonder that date didn't feel right. Did not know they had NA release of Gundam F91 movie! Sunday morning haul from local classifieds. Going to kill some time building RG Zeta before the Revive Zeta which is not out until the 22nd. Built the MG Nemo yesterday. The difference between the MG and HGUC is less than expected, especially the head. Though the MG still has better proportion and will be a good visual aid for modifying the HGUC version.
I liked the MG Nemo, but it really felt like a line between a 1:100 scale High Grade (simplified arms and the shield bracket) and a first generation styled MG (inner frame for the chest and legs but no more). Yeah, the poster was from its limited run back in '04 when it came out. I think the Metreon theater? I don't remember.
Nice backlog. I gotta organize my own workshop as half of my stock is still sitting in shipping boxes scattered around my workspace. All you need are the PBandai 00 Seven Sword and Qanta full saber and the Exia Repair II... Bandai can other series get some love? What ever happened to those Gundam Wing suits you teased to go along with Wing Zero Kai?
Yeah, those three would be nice. The Qanta Full Saber would be nice if it was an add on so I don't have to build the 00 Qanta again. lol. And I think I'll get the MG 00 Seven Sword instead because it comes with the blaster that the RG doesn't come with. Exia Repair II doesn't have enough of a difference for me to really want to spend the PBandai money though ironically I'd consider the Trans-am versions and already got the Astray Gold Frame. Haha. I sure hope they release ones like Heavy Arms and Deathscythe Hell in RG form.
Agree. I think most of the RE/100 kits have more details than MG Nemo if not counting the inner frame. I don't mind though. I am just surprised that it doesn't have thigh swirl. Was planing to buy some older MG GM kits but now I will have to reconsider it.
Or you could consider RG Astrae F. It's Exia predecessor, different enough from Exia and it's red too. Best of all, it's P-Bandai as well
That is true. I already got the HG type-F so I'd probably want the regular one but I think that one only comes as an add-on right? It's hard to justify the additional costs of getting a P-Bandai though. Haha.
A close look at the upcoming Gundam Tristan reveals the rather disappointing fact that it literally is just a retool of the old HGUC Gundam Alex...
